ARGH!
Netball is prolly one of the hardest things to shoot. Unlike badminton however, it's hard but fun.
It's SUPER fast moving (esp when shooting the NZ and AUS teams) and all the action happens before the ball is caught.
You see, for photogs, the running joke at the courts are that if you have the ball in your picture, you prolly missed the shot!!! (: But sometimes you get two of the players clashing, tongue sticking out, eyes tight shut and ball and all that action _ you better hope then that your picture is sharp!!!!
So for the past 4-days, i've been covering the Netball World Championships here in Singapore and boy is it fun.
I know the blokes love shooting it because the girls look like they are doing ballet half the time and the sport is in mini-dresses.
We have another 3-days of this to shoot and fingers crossed, i'm not bored yet.
Of course at this moment, everyone's kinda kidding with me and asking if I accidentally ate a netball. Yes hardeeharhar.
No offense taken guys really (:
So for the rest of you who have nothing to do this weekend, head on down to the Singapore Indoor Stadium and catch the semi-finals and finals of the Mission Foods Netball World Championships 2011.
Check out their website here for match schedules or just come and watch us photographers do impersonations of lemmings with our lenses and bright yellow bibs. It will be fun either way.

That was the question my supervisor asked me over the phone...
I guess that was a valid question.
Today, we had a press conference for U.S singer Lady Gaga at the Marina Bay Sands and true to form of a successful artiste, she was over an hour late for a presser that lasted about - oh maybe 20 minutes.
But I wasn't suprised in fact I thought we were pretty lucky that we had all that time to shoot. The concert was out of bounds for ALL photographers except management's crew so that made it easy.
The one thing I couldn't get over was everyone was saying: "O M G check out her shoes!" when actually, all I couldn't stop looking at was her highlighter green hair.
I am so dated.

"If I breathe in really hard, my muscles look bigger!"
This is Nate, who's obsessed with growing muscles at the moment. But beneath all that brawn, is a very sensitive heart.
Everyday, morning and evening, the boy will pat my belly and express his love to what's within.
He kisses it, and whispers to it and doesn't allow me to leave the house unless he's had a few words with it.
No, it's not my gut that he's obsessed with but with the human forming inside.
I tested him and commented that he can't even see baby yet _ but that hasn't stopped him.
Just the other day, he said, "Mommy, can baby sleep on my bed with me?"
I told him that he would have to wait a little because it would be too little and a little fragile in the early stages.
He just blew me off by saying "Then I will make more room for it."
By the way in case you didn't know, I am with child (ren).
