In a weekend

i love looking at brides' bouquets

anticipation
It's been a long time since we've partied this hard. (for me, the word party is used very conservertively seeing that i'm a pregnant so i can't get drunk or run around too much).
But just over this weekend, we attended a friend's wedding over two days and we celebrated little Ethan's first birthday.

seng, brian, esther and i
In these two separate events, we saw a little girl fall into a birthday cake, a photographer fall off an Ikea stool, breaking the stool- i dunno which happened first, a father fall over on a rosewood chair, a little boy dressed up as a bumble-bee, fathers singing for their daughters, mothers singing for their daughters, couples exchanging life-time vows, mother-photographers forgetting their skills as professional photographers, a lot of food and most of all, the presence and blessings from God. It couldn't have gone any better (:

Lunch time converstaions
This conversation took place at the Mt. Alvernia Cafe right after my OBGYN visit.
Bryan came over for a quick 30 min lunch (Singapore Press Holdings is just next to the hospital) with Joyce en-route to another job.
Maye-e: Hey great news! Baby's engaged. Finally.
Bryan: How can he be? He's not even born yet!

Wonderful
that's how i would describe these royce chocolates.I was introduced to these little sinful chocolate bars 2 years ago but only got down to blogging about them now.

They MELT in your mouth or in your hands. That's how silky soft they are. And yes, they do taste wonderful. I am not doing them any justice by writing about them. You'll have to try it yourselves.

Sucker for Packagings
I am a sucker for good packaging. Last night while having a glass of apple and cranberry juice i realised that Peel Fresh has come up with some very intelligent design for its juice packaging. The top part of the bottle is made of plastic but the rest of the body of the bottle is actually bio-degradable waxed paper. Very environmentally responsible indeed. So now let's be responsible customers as well!
I like.

Swell time
I love dots and i love this printed SWELL tube top (click on brand to see shop collection). This is probably one of the only piece of clothing i got from a maternity shop at paragon. I usually avoid any form of maternity clothing because i'm still traumatised by the thought of wearing a dress and imagining a light bulb under me, with a pony tail and a chopstick attached with terence holding the other end of it, leading me around like a lantern.
Anyway.
I guess my hubby got tired of me wearing his cargo slacks and my AP t-shirts (which i still think are the comfortable-est clothes i can wear now) and so dragged me into this shop where i tried on a few outfits for an upcoming wedding of my church friend next week.
Good excuse to shop eh?
What can I say... Shopping is still shopping. I love it.
Thanks Terence (:

Back to Basics
It's been awhile since me and fellow photographer Bryan held a documentary workshop together at Objectifs. During which we were reminded how refreshing and important it was to share ideas with each other and fresh perspectives - from students - in a passion which if not nutured well and done to death can become just another profession.
