General Elections

Drive-by-shootings #02 >> there's a lot of hanging around.

General Elections

Drive-by-shootings #01 >> if you score a walk-over (means your constituency is not contested) be prepared to be carried-over someone's shoulders.

Drive-by-concepts

We often cover events where we take 100 pictures and only 1 gets submitted for publication. Sometimes, we see things that are funny or contain visual punns but shelf them. So i'm dedicating these few blog entries to things that happen behind the scenes of our general elections.

sounds of silence

sorry for the downtime. I've been busy with work and will be for the next 12 days or so... Its the elections here in Singers. Will update as much as i can. Later.

GoodBye Sushi... I will miss you

Thank you David for bringing me to that Oishi Sushi buffet whilst i was in Bangkok.

Back to the Basics

The one entity that can never fail you is your family. For the unconditional love that they pour forth for me is something i can never find elsewhere. God has truly blessed me, my heart, that i may be brought into this world by two people who's love and understanding and support will carry me through. No matter how big the situation or the problem is. They make problems turn into challenges, and turn stress into re-adjustment. And i pray tonight that I may, in turn, show that same unconditional love for my own. Praise be to God. Amen

Siam Discovery Center

Siam Discovery >01 : the best sushi buffet you can ever eat at Oishi
Siam Discover >02 : there are too many local photographers in the country and one too many Thaksin pictures to take in a day
Siam Discovery >03 : you can't find REAL youghat in the city (according to David Longstreath)
Siam Discovery >04 : but you can find fake everything else
Siam discovery >05 : Thai Ap photographers have excessive energy and need no sleep at all
(i meant that with all respect and admiration)

Pressing Issues

.literally.
through these scrums, my lens has died, my camera bodies have also suffered from performance anxiety - both of them- and my shoelace is gone, i've punch people i never even met in my life. the only thing that stays are the pictures - well, some of it if my camera decides to record what i've taken.

The ants go marching one by one hoorah;hoorah..

how many volunteers does it take to put up a vote-counting station?

that many.

The wheels on the bus go round and round...

EVERYBODY is waiting for Mr. Prime Minister
and i mean EVERYBODY .. including local, wires and Time Mag (;
(mind you, all those people up there are photographers and cameramen - and that's only half of them)
4 hours later:
we find out he has left the building
So that's the way the cookie crumbles... padumpum

A fish called wanda-ful

Siam Paragon is really quite posh. After work, i decided to do the tourist thing and take a BTS (subway) to the nearest mall. Just to see what it was like. Its interior and layout was like any other mall in any part of the world. All malls look and smell the same. Except for some little details that makes this place uber cool.
> you can have your dinner with the Fish at the food court - hope you dont plan on having any fish dishes while you're at it. some find that a little lacking in emotional intelligence.
And the interior was kinda cool in terms of deco. I guess the appeal is in the break in monotony.
