Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday

This card for Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday was really simple to put together. 

I used only scraps left over from the beginning of the month for the patterned paper. The doillie was in the kit and then added the chipboard shape.

SOSS #64 R is for Resist

So this weeks challenge is resist.. of course, instead of thinking outside the box I looked up resist techniques and tried one. I should have done a card about resisting temptation or something like that. 

I found a tutorial on Split coast stampers with a white crayon and embossing folders.

I don't actually like the way it turned out but it will do. I already gave the card to a coworker for her birthday.

Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday

For the card using this months card kit from Scraptures Kit Club I used a simple sketch and the stamp set that came in the kit. 

Now this card should have gone together quickly. I already had a yellow cardstock base and the patterned paper is leftover from another card. The donut took a little bit of time, but not really a lot. What took so long was adhering the patterned paper to the base. I had purchased some refill adhesive for my 3M ATG. Well BOTH rolls are useless. This happens every couple of boxes of refills and sometimes both rolls, which is what happened. So I am trying to make my card and I have no usable adhesive. The tape was on the wrong side of the roll so when it was loaded no glue would go down onto the paper. 

Anyways, it is a cute card and I think a friend is going to like it.

Happy birthday to me...

Today is my birthday and I don't like this years number. LOL 

I do like this card I did up quickly Monday night for Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday while catching up with a tv show on the dvr.

 I used up more of the Little Yellow Bicycle "Just Because" JB105 and left over piece of JB104 (the floral side).

The squares are Dear Lizzy and the chipboard flower was in the kit as well. 

Also added was the stamp set by Technique Tuesday "A day in Paradise". 

Sketch is Case this Sketch 180.  I even decorated the inside, which is so unlike me.

This weeks challenge for Sisterhood of Snarky Sisters is B for Booze.. perfect for us snarky, love our drinks, sisters.  The hard part was choosing what to highlight booze wise in our designs.

Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday

This months Scraptures kit is called the "Vicki Boutin special". Now if you know the awesome, lovely, fun and talented Vicki you know this kit will be great. 

This kit is full of two different lines.. Dear Lizzy "Lucky Charm" and Little Yellow Bicycle "Just Because", with some embellishments from each one. 

As usual, I went to a sketch site and my first pick Mojo Monday and the sketch worked with the little doilies that came in the kit. 

I liked this photo showing the plant and the card reflected in the table but I did do another photo with a closer view.
