Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

It is time for another SoSS challenge. This time it is Vellum. Except I have no vellum and I went back in my photos to cards I did before 2011 and none of them have vellum.

I think the only time I used vellum on a card was for a wedding invitation for a friend. 

I did do another one similar (which I just remembered I have at 7:50 am on Saturday while writing this blog post). This one was a sample for a beach wedding (the gold cord was going to be hemp cord). The couple ordered a ton of them and just before I ordered in the paper they decided to get married in a church and we changed the card. 

The vellum is where the actually wording for the invitation would go on.. For my friends I had vellum drying all over the house.

Sketch N Scraps 3rd birthday bash

This month is Sketch n Scraps 3rd birthday bash. Each design team member had to pick a day and come up with a layout and a challenge AND a GIVEAWAY!  I did mine at my crop at the beginning of the month and this was my sneak peak...

I did a bunch of different 3 things. I saw a layout I like on pinterest (at least that is what I think I did since I can't find my inspiration now or my notes) either that or used a sketch from sketch n scrap. 

I started with the waves, I used my brand new distress paints. I knew I wanted to use the paper from a friends online kit club from 2/3 years ago. I fussy cut the fish, picked out the photos and the embellishments. The gem splash was a bit of a pain. After putting down the waves I sprinkled some dylusions mist. Once I put the layout down and I thought it was done my friend said it needed some sequins. I added those at home. 

My three counts:

3 photos in corner

3 fish

3 sets of 3 sequins

3 embellishments with single photo

3 colors of ink on background

3 patterned papers behind 3 photos

My challenge to you for a prize is to do as many grouping of threes as you can. 

There must be more than 3 groupings of 3

There must be at least 6 participants for me to award a prize.

I can only ship to Canada and the USA. (sorry ladies)

Sketch N Scrap #81

It's time for another sketch by Kelly at Sketch n scrap. I thought this one was perfect for four photos I have from Disney (2010) featuring my friend Jeff and Chip and Dale. 

Here is my take. Chip, Dale and Jeff were being very silly late at night our first night at Magic Kingdom.

SNS What's Poppin'?

Time for Sketch N Scrap card sketch.

Well I had to do this quickly because I totally forgot to do it...oops. 

I had originally planned to do a circle card but that didn't happen.

Once I decided what to do it came together pretty easily. 

I do like what I ended up with, can be used as a friendship card, thinking of you, birthday, just because....

For every challenge you do each month you get entered into a draw for a prize.

SoSS Monochromatic Mama

It's another week for Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. This week the challenge is a monochromatic mothers day card. Tough for me because I don't make Mother's /Day cards. I was going to do blues cause that is my mother in laws favorite color. I ended up going with green. I rubbed different green distress inks onto my glass top, spritzed it with water and rubbed the cardstock in it. Then I used a hero arts stamp and used the darkest green. 

The sentiment is paper smooches.
