SOSS Blog-iversary

So it's been a year since the Sisterhood got together. I know I have missed a couple of challenges, but that is what is great about the Sisters..we all understand that sometimes life gets in the way.
I hope you have taken the time over the past year to visit the rest of the sisterhood..

I have enjoyed seeing everyone's creations over the year and I am going to assume you like the challenges we came up with (well I think it was Donna). This year Jessi has come up with new challenges for you to enjoy. I hope to see WAY MORE SNARK from everyone!!

For this week it was sister's choice. I chose vintage, mostly because I was having a creative block and this card  by Michelle Suit (Stampin' UP). The link is to pinterest because the blog is no longer available. I thought a etch a sketch was pretty Vintage.

and this inside is where you find the snark...

I do have a small prize for 1 lucky winner. If you do the sister's choice challenge and do the VINTAGE one. Let me know in my comments (with a link to your art) and I will do a random draw for one lucky person.  So it was pointed out that this could be used for the ICONIC challenge as well..so I will add that..if you use either link in my comments to win..maybe I will even get a picture of the prize on here soon.

I hope you are planning to join us for another great year.

Stuff I used:
unknown cardstock
distress ink and archival ink
Technique Tuesday stamps (balloons and inside sentiment)
Paper Smooches (I think) Happy birthday sentiment
circle punch
foam dots

Being Silly for Sketch n Scrap

Not really for Sketch n Scrap but this weeks sketch was perfect for these 3 photos I had of Dakota.

Here is the sketch by Kelly

here is my take:

I think all 3 photos were taken at the store The Children's Place, around Canada Day but it could be a coincidence that she is wearing the same shirt. These photos are from 2012, slowly I am catching up, very, very slowly.

SoSS #20

This week's challenge just has to be perfect timing as this has been the coldest week this winter.. Check out Edna all ready for some cold weather.

+

I had fun making this card..I used my Tim Holtz tree embossing folder, some Tim snowflake stamps, Tiim speckle layering stencil and some embossing paste. I distressed and quickly colored a Kenny K image with distress markers (except for skin tone that was copics).

Then sentiment I found online, typed it in word and printed it out. The inside of the card says "when it's over".

Be sure to hop over to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers to see what creations the rest of the sisters came up with. I know I had a couple of favorites. You can also check out the new gif that shows all of the Edna's from the past year. In 2 weeks we will be doing a sister favorite challenge, basically picking one we did this year and creating something new.

Sketch N Scrap card sketch 41

I made it back on the design team for Sketch N Scrap for another term. This term they have changed it up a bit and each team will be doing a card and a layout sketch.
I will doing the card sketch on the 5th of each month and here is the first one.

I actually stayed true to the sketch, with snowflakes and snowman. My only problem was I lent out both my snowflake and circle punches and haven't gotten them back yet.
I pulled out some Bo Bunny paper and old washi tape. No clue where the felt snowflake came from (probably a Scraptures card kit). I added some stickles to the sentiment flag. Both the snowman and sentiment are old from Unity stamps. I drew a line around the perimeter with tumbled glass distress marker. Believe or not there are a few snowflakes on the background in the tumbled glass distress ink and a Hero arts snowflake stamp.

Please make sure you upload your sketch (with a direct link) to the Sketch n Scrap blog.
I believe you still have the whole month to do any of the sketches and your chance to win a great prize.  You will also get to see all the great cards by the rest of the design team..see if you can figure out which one is my favorite.
