Last card this month using Scraptures card kit.
I enjoyed making this card with the Pink Paislee Hey Kid card kit. I used Cardmaps 4 and then had some fun. I used the washi tape and dots that came with the kit. The moustache was attached to a piece of cardstock and then trimmed that to leave a small border. As usual, I inked the edges because it does not looked finished without the ink. :) The sentiment is from Paper Smooches "We click"..I really need to get the dies for this stamp set.

A Unique Blog Hop
My crafty friend Donna of Yellow Dog Greetings asked me to participate in a unique blog hop. I have been on several design teams with Donna, Drunken Stampers and currently Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers (SoSS) and Scraptures.
I also get to spend time with Donna at crops and other thing as she lives in the next city over. I love Donna and can't wait til our next crop together. I think we are both taking a Vicki class together soon as well.
Donna showed her craft space so I will also show mine. It has been a bit of a work in progress for just over a year. At one point it was ugly wallpaper (well not horrible because it was something my MIL had done in the room when they owned the house) but it was blue and not my color. LOL My DH went away for a guys weekend last June and came home to the carpet ripped up , wallpaper gone and 2 walls painted orange (my favorite color). I still have to add trim up near the ceiling, have DH hang one more thing (he always takes what I hang down and redoes it) and I am in the process of making a display for my Tim tags from 2009 & 2010 (still have to do 2011).
This first picture is my desk. My tv almost always has Criminal Minds playing on it (except in the morning then it's the news). I didn't empty my recycling or garbage before taking the photos. DH just put up the white shelves this morning (they are photo shelves). I purchased a long one from ikea and DH cut it for me. I wanted to display certain wood stamps on the small portion. Then on the other one I have my twine, Unity stamps and water brushes (with Dylusions spray). The wipe off calendar has design team deadlines. In the cups hanging from the Ikea towel bar has wink of stella and then regular pens & dry erase marker. I also just got the very cool media stix for my inks. I have 1 more package to hang for my distress inks but it has to go upside down for them to fit. The spinning rack with small ink pads, spray inks and misc stuff is from Harbour Freight in the States.
1. What am I working on?

This is right beside my desk. Currently my distress inks are on an added shelf. My cameo sits below and I use it pretty often. I have buttons, ribbon, smooch on the display cabinet (need to figure out what goes in the empty hole now that I have the shelf for my wood stamps). The cabinet belows houses all kinds of things, from note/idea books, stamps (in the two white boxes), cuttlebug, brads, spray adhesive and other wood stamps and my Tim Holtz stamp binder. The skinny shelf is shared with DH..so it has some Dylusions stamps, Stampin' Up stamps, Gel a Tin stamps, comics, cd and whatever.
This is the small space I allow DH to use. It has his golf ball collection, Star Wars vinylmation, some pins and a Rush photo. All the papers are for work.
This is along the big wall and house just about everything. Paper, embellisments, printer, tools. My washi tape is on a hold thread display holder. The magnet board holds just some fun stuff that I like to look or what was given to me. You can see the last thing (maybe ) that I want DH to hang..magnetic spice rack that I have bits and pieces in.
This is the back/behind the door. I have a peg board with stamps and stickers. Below that several Ikea towel bars with my punches. On the door is ribbon, a clipboard with my ranger color stock and a birthday calendar (and the cancer lottery one). There is also a apron that I should wear more often.
That is it for my room.
Here is the blog post from Donna that I was tagged in...
And here are my answers to the blog hop questions:
1. What am I working on?
Currently I have several things on the go..usually one of my design team projects (SoSS or Scraptures or Sketch N Scrap). I am also working on some card packages for my sorority to sell to other sorority chapters as a fundraiser.
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I don't know that it really does. I find steampunk fun but hard to do, I love all things Dyan Reaveley and Tim Holtz. I sometimes do messy and sometimes very clean. All depends on my mood. I tend to work off of sketches the most though.
3. Why do I create what I do?
I don't know. I enjoy it most of the time. LOL My daughter loves to look at my old albums and that makes me feel good. When I do mixed media as gifts I love knowing that the person that rec'd it really likes it.
4. How does your creative process work?
I spend so much time looking for ideas online until I run out of time and then just go for it. Occasionally inspiration hits me but usually I am at work when that happens and by the time I get home it is gone. LOL I do love scraplifting though.
For next week I am tagging two more crafty friends:
Laura Lee of Boys Rule Scrapbook kits & Paper Princess.
I met her through Scraptures and we have become good friends. We all try to get together when we can. We have also done Scrapfest together a couple of times. It's her birthday today too.
Christa from Scraptures.
I met Christa through the scrapbook store that I used to work at, and then again when we moved our kids were in the same class (my oldest, her youngest). We became best friends and now hang out all the time. I asked her to do this, knowing that her scrap space is only a dream at the moment (she just moved into a new place) and all her stuff is in storage. I asked that she show us her old place and answer the questions.

K is for Kraft with the Snarky Sisters
That is right, we have decided to go with that kind of kraft. I thought it would be a struggle because I have been out of my kraft phase for a couple of months. I also don't like to do Christmas cards, but I needed to come up with one for my sorority group as a fundraiser. Unfortunately they decided it is too snarky for sales...although I know our target group and I think this one suits perfectly. LOL
I used an old Tickled Pink stamps "Li'l Christmas Evie" and Dyan Reaveley Christmas stamp. I then just did some minor colouring on the image with wink of stella brush pens.
Visit the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers to see what fabulous designs the rest of the sisters have come up with, then upload your K is for Kraft kreation. You never know you might be crowned Queen of the Snark.

Hey Girl
It's another Wednesday and another wild card for Scraptures. Nice simple card...used cardmaps again. Lots of paper and stickers from the Pink Paislee Hey Kid card kit.
I also used the Paper Smooches We click stamp set again.
After I took the photo I decided the flower needed something so I used my pink and green wink of stella pens and coloured it all pretty like. It looks so much better.

Inspired by Sketch
Almost forgot to do this post. On Sunday Sketch N Scrap posted the newest sketch based on another team members layout. This cool sketch was completed by Kelly based on a layout by Lydia.
This is my layout based on the sketch. I thought this was a perfect one to use this large photo I had of Dakota with Santa...the only 1 since she was about 2..she would refuse every other year and again since.
The sleigh is cut out using my silhouette. The patterned papers are DCWV O' Christmas Tree and the flowers are fabric flowers by basic grey in the jovial line.
So many beautiful varieties based on the sketch!!!

Comma's are important!
Good Saturday morning to you. I have been enjoying my vacation all week. Meant to get creative more but that is okay because we have been doing stuff. Even got to Ikea for a picture rail for my wood stamps. Mostly I am excited for the Media Stix that I finally found at Office Max when I went over the river (that means into the US), supposedly you can get these at Target, Walmart and Home Depot but never ones that I visited. I bought 2 packages although I only need 1. I can't wait to organize my ink pads...
Anyways it is time for another Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge, check the blog to see if you were crowned Queen of the Snark on the last challenge.
This weeks challenge is Z for Zoo...it can be harder than you think, especially when you are trying to add Snark to the card. I managed to come up with something, with the help of my husband.
So I started out with my Bo Bunny Zoo-ology paper and stickers/rubons and then was stuck for days.
I ended up using a portion of the paper with the monkey on it. I wanted to add the leopard so I drew and cut out another branch that matched the one on the paper, used the leopard rubon and then pop dotted the tree branch to make it look like it was sitting atop it.
The sentiment was made to look like a sign you might find at a zoo... Do not feed the animals children! Doesn't something seem wrong there?
That's where the inside comes in...
another piece from the paper pack, trimmed to fit. I also added the little children stamps. hehe
Thanks for looking. Please visit the Sisterhood to see what the rest of the design team came up with and then submit your Zoo card..try for some snark, it's more fun that way. :)

We still click after 20 years
Good morning. I hope you are having a great summer. This week I am on staycation. I enjoyed my time designing the layout kit for Scraptures but it's back to the card kit for me. This month we are using Pink Paislee "Hey Kid Kre8v" and Paper Smooches "We Click" stamp set.
I was going to feature a different card first but since today is my 20th anniversary I thought I would use this one instead. I love this stamp set, it is so much fun. I think I need the die that matches.
I used a sketch from my Cardmaps 4, I figured since I bought the book I should at least use it. :)
Here is a photo of Mark and I from 2011 in Punta Cana.

Sketch N Scrap #62
Yep it's time for another cool sketch from Lisa at Sketch N Scrap. The design team did a great job so make sure you pop over and take a look at whatever did.
I can't believe that it is August already and that means my youngest son is bugging to go back to Fan Expo at the end of the month. SSHHH don't tell but I think we are going to try and take him (along with a couple of his friends).
Here is the sketch..
and my take on it..it was perfect for photos from Fan Expo 2012 and STAN LEE!!
The other two photos have a)David Paetkau & Sergio Di Zio from Flashpoint (loved that show), I do have autographs and b)John Stocker (a cool voice actor who signed a photo of his character from Care Bears).
I used old Scraptures card kits for the patterned paper, Fancy Pants Be Different & Carta Bella Max. I also added in Queen and Co. washi tape, Bo Bunny letter stickers.
