Scraptures card kit

I used the Basic Grey Clippings paper from this months card kit from Scraptures, to alter this address book for a client. 

The only thing I added was the purple paper, the punch and the letter stickers. (Which I have taken off and am trying something else instead). 

for some reason this photo just does not want to be up right. 

The little dark dots are gone...water from the grass...you can't even see where they were.

I also used a unity stamp set to stamp random images throughout the book. The stamp set was from an older card kit.

Scraptures Wild Card wednesday

It's another Wednesday which means another week on the Scraptures blog.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do this week, so I googled the Technique Tuesday stamp set that came with the kit and up popped this great card by Tobi Crawford. (I actually follow her blog.) I pretty much copied the card exactly except used the Basic Grey Clippings paper that came in the kit

Cousins wedding gifts

One of my cousins is getting married this weekend and I made him (and his fiance) to gifts. 

The first one is a mixed media canvas. I got my inspiration (basically copied) from this canvas.

Some of the supplies used were: basic grey rubons, Imaginisce rubon & rhinestone celebrate, creative imaginations wordz, SU cherished memories rubons.

I used my silhouette to cut out the tree and hearts. I used stickers for the letters and since this frame didn't come with a matte, I made one with cardstock and my silhouette. The words in the tree are the words to my cousins first dance song. Better Together by Jack Johnson.

I really hope they like what I made for them.

PS I am spending my birthday (July 13th) with my family at my cousins birthday.

You make me smile

I am getting this card done under the wire. Each month the Simply Betty facebook fan group gets a challenge. You are given a exclusive image and a challenge to do for the month. (It usually runs into the next month). If you don't do it, then you don't get the next image. 

This month we had a choice between eyes open or closed Summer.  The challenge was to do a non-stamped background. 

I chose to use papers from Fancy Pants Summer soul. I had a different idea in mind but then found this sketch on Cardabilites and went with it. Had to make a trip to the dollar store for the doilie (didn't like a flower and too lazy to cut one on the silhouette last night). After I took this photo I decided the wings needed some glitter so I used my spica pen ...looks way better. 

I used copics to colour. Here is just a partial list:

Scraptures Card Kit

It's my turn to once again do the Scraptures card kit.  I was impressed with the paper when I opened the package..I see a lot of it as layouts not cards though so I will be careful with which sheets I use. 

It is the Basic Grey Clippings line. 

I got the idea from this blog. I did use my own bling and I used a SU stamp set for the sentiment.
