Exciting News

When I got home from vacation I was asked to be on Graphicat Design Team (after applying of course). Then on the Saturday of Dakota's birthday (Feb 4th) I rec' another email. I was also picked to be on a ANOTHER design team. I wasn't allowed to post it until today when it went live on the other blog.

Another card, another post. Just one more to share later today. This card again used paper scraps, unknown ribbon and a piece of paper from a DCWV Garden party stack. 

The sketch this time came from iSpy Sketchs. It is a new blog, this is only the 4th sketch, but I love what I have seen so far.

Card Patterns 154

Another one of the cards I made on Sunday. I used scrap paper, a edge punch, Sandy Lion diecut, unknown ribbon, a stamp. Since I didn't think the stamp was dark enough I tried tracing it with enamel accents. It is okay. Sketch is Card patterns 154

Twisted Sketch #94

I am a little late with this one, but I did it yesterday, when I completed 8 cards. 

This one is from Twisted Sketches..the twist was Red.

Sketchy Saturdays

 This is my 3rd post of the day..one for each card that I made today.

I like the way this card turned out. I coloured up Goofy a while ago. The paper is some I won from My Stamping Studio way back in July, it is Lime Twist by My Mind's Eye as is the yellow twine. The two chipboard pieces are from an old kit that I opened up the other day. I thought they went nicely. I used foam dots on Goofy to give it some dimension. The sketch is from Sketchy Saturdays.

I now have 3 more cards I need to get done, 1 for my FIL's birthday and two for two different card swaps.

Another card that I created today. This one has an image and saying from Bugaboo Stamps, the paper is from DCWV Garden Party stack. I used my bow easy to make the bow. I coloured the image with copics.

CPS 254

One of 3 cards that I have completed so far today. I used scrap patterned paper. The image was a freebie Kenny K designs called Holla girl, coloured with copics. Sketch is from CPS.

What restraining order?

I did the majority of this card last night before going bowling. I just had to add the sentiment this morning. I used paper from my February card kit from Scraptures. A pink ribbon Lolita from Tickled Pink Stamps and sentiment from Nicole at Canadian Nickel Scrap'n.

Port Dalhousie Carousel

I finally used one of my Basic Grey monthly kits from 2010. I followed the layout that was included by Vicki Boutin.  The collection used was Origins.  It is a layout about a trip to Port Dalhousie and the ride on the Carousel.

These close ups show how I altered the letter stickers. All I did was add some dishes on certain parts of the letters. I just thought they needed a little something.  The layout Vicki did only used 4 photos, since I didn't have any vertical photos I used 4 horizontal and made them as tall as the photos Vicki used.

I did this layout last night in about 30 minutes. It is Dakota sitting with my brother, who we don't really see enough. It was the same weekend my mom came for her last visit in 2009. 

The sketch is from pencillines, the background paper is bo bunny.  I only had one sheet of it and I love it..I actually prefer the other side but this one worked better. The other is from my scrap pile. I misted white flowers and added stickles to a ghost image.

Layouts, Steven & Chris

I was at a crop yesterday and didn't get much done..2 layouts and 1 card. I can't show you the card yet but here are the two layouts. I used a sketch for this first layout (which I did 2nd). It is from New Year's Eve December 2009. 

This layout is from August 2009, a trip to the Toronto Zoo. I used a Paper Loft layout. A friend was doing it a couple of months ago and I realized it would be perfect for all of the photos. The first picture shows it without the mini album on top of it. I used all Bo Bunny Zoology paper, I forgot the matching embellishments at home so I will still try and add some stuff to it. 

This is with the mini album on top.

I am going to use the same layout format for my photos of Canada's Wonderland and the Ontario Space Centre from August 2009. It's a great way to scrapbook a load of photos and still only have one layout. 

On Tuesday February 14th it was my friends 40th birthday. She requested and rec'd tickets to the Steven & Chris show at CBC for that day. I had never heard of them but it was a lot of fun. The episode that we were at will air on February 27th. I am going to PVR it to see the show. My friend actually won a nice new stainless steel crock pot.

Clear birthday....

I rec'd a card similar to this in a card swap a couple of years ago and I haven't given it away, mainly because I wanted to CASE it. So while DH was watching superbowl and I thought I should actually do something I finally did it. I think the person who made it was Kelly Ann or Tracy from the Scrap N Chat boards. 

I used a piece of packaging, cut it down and then used some bo bunny and reflections paper on it. 

The flowers are unknown and the sentiment is from a hero arts set. (Really too lazy to go and get it right now.)

I will be posting the winner of the Graphicat blog hop (at least from my stop) tomorrow some time, maybe when we are done celebrating Dakota turning 6. Right now I am attempting some gluten/dairy free cupcakes for her class for tomorrow. Hopefully they aren't rocks. LOL

Graphicat Blog Hop

I mentioned yesterday that I had some exciting to me news. When I got back from vacation I was checking my emails and there was this great one from Cheri who owns Graphicat Stamps, it is my go to store for great digital and rubber stamps. Another bonus is that she is Canadian. I had replied to her design team call and she asked me to be a part of it. I was so very excited, so you better be too. :)

We are doing a blog hop today to reveal the new sayings that Cheri has created for us as well as the sketch for her sketch blog.
