Lil Haunt Franki

Dalton's friends birthday is this weekend and when I saw the Lil Haunt Frankie digital stamp I knew it was going on a card for Allen. It is also a co-workers birthday on Saturday so I figured I could just duplicate the card for him.

Both of these cards were inspired by this lady who writes the Strawberry Rd blog.

I used Tim Holtz patterned paper, SU number wheel, stickles, enamel accents and my new fave tool..the iRock by Imaginisce.

Inking Pinking Blog Hop

Check out this great blog hop...

Welcome to our Inking Pink Awareness Hop! Our paper crafting community spans the globe and brings all of us together under a common roof. We are grandmothers, granddaughters, mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, best friends, wives, cyber-friends and design team teammates. Many of us have family or friends touched by breast cancer and all of us want to encourage all of you to check yourself!

This hop will take you around the world, so please sit back with your morning coffee or evening tea and celebrate our stories and projects with us. Some of your fellow crafters along the hop are even offering blog candy! Please give a little comment love to each and every crafter along the way. We hope you enjoy our hop, and most of all we all want YOU to give yourself the greatest gift and do a self-check tomorrow. The more you do it, the more breast aware you will be!

Our hop starts at Patricia’s http://pattyandcharlie.blogspot.com blog so if you started some where else please start there you don’t want to miss what we have for you.

It is well worth the hop.

Happy Hauntings

I am in a monthly card swap, it is a great one, you get a different person each month and only have to make one card. This month's theme was, of course, Halloween. It took me longer than I planned to do this but I am happy with the results.

I cut out the moon, bats, gravestones and Lil' Haunt Willow on my silhouette using techniques that I learned in my class at Scrapbook Central. I used slate Glimmer Mist on the gravestones.
The design is similiar to Jane's from the Tickled Pink stamps design team.

I also decided to add some stamps to the included envelope. This is the back, sorry the photo is blurry. The stamp is a new one from Tim Holtz set called Haunted Mansion.

The crow on the bottom of the front of the envelope is from the same stamp set as the back. The upper corner stamp is from the Odds and Ends stamp set.

On a side note my business cards for Photo Art by Chelle came in yesterday. I am so excited.

Vinyl Halloween

With my new found joy in my Silhouette machine (actually learning how to use it) and reading Megan's blog That's What She Said I decided to get creative with my halloween decorations.

So today I pulled out the black vinyl I purchased and cut out some designs for around the house.

If you look closely you can already see some natural spider web in the upper right hand corner of the photo. Tells you how much I look up in my home. LOL
When Mark got home from golfing and picking Dakota up from a birthday party and saw what I did, he asked if I could do something for Dalton's drums. So Mark picked out the design, got rid of the watermark and gave the digital file to me. I then did the magic I learned from Lorraine in Friday's class and this is what we came up with...

Tomorrow I am putting a halloween card together that I made using the techniques I learned on Friday...print and cut. Mark thought it was pretty cool.

Til then..

Silhouette Course week 2

Here are pictures of the card we made in week 2. I love this card and want to try and make it a holiday card. I just realized I didn't take a photo of it showing how it is a swing card..so you can have either side of the middle facing the front of the card. Way too cool. When I get home from work I will try and take a photo and add it to this post.

Imaginisce and Silhouette

If you own the amazing machine called the Silhouette (which I am learning how to get better use of my machine see bottom of post) and Imaginisce than you need to check out their blog swap.

There is even a prize to be won so don't forget to do what it says to do. :)

FREE Silhouette STUFF: Our friends at Silhouette are giving away this fun package that works awesome with the i-rock tool and more!!

Free Imaginsce stuff:

Just a side note:
You can take a course on your silhouette machine or buy one of these amazing machines from Scrapbook Central. Just visit the store or email Jillian. I am loving the course and learning so many neat things. I have had my Silhouette for 2 years so I don't have the cool looking SD card one but that is okay. The new design studio for it is amazing and so user friendly.

Here are the links to the 2 cards we have made so far. Thanks and Arigato (2nd one)

Blog Candy

I started following this blog this summer...AWESOME! Love her stuff, love her digital stamps. I actually purchased the Lil Haunts set.
Anyways visit Kellie's blog for your chance to win..although I would rather it be me. :)

Last Scrapper Standing

Another week another layout. I am not out yet. It is down to just 2 of us and we are both stubborn enough to not give up. Heck I even brought my tools with me to Disney in case I had a layout to do. :)

This was the layout we copied and we were to make it a fall layout.
This is what I did...sorry about the glare on the photo. I was just to lazy to take another photo in better light the next day. I played with some new Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam on the title.
Also for some reason I HAD to put the owl on, it just would not leave the layout, I took it out and it was wrong. These photos were taken Thanksgiving weekend .. October 2009.

Let's Scrap sketch

This layout is based on a sketch from Let's Scrap...

Just thought I would give it a try. I used my silhouette to cut out the bears and the thought bubble. The papers are by Basic Grey..real old line. The fringe flowers I learned from another scrap blog..can't remember who at this point.

I also did 6 holiday cards today. Except for the white card base I used all scrap paper. The red, the white the sentiment is on, the patterned paper squares. Not bad. I got the sketch from a card book that Shannon lent me.

I also finished 2 more clipboards today. I painted them brown and used some papers that I purchased at Vicki Boutin's garage sale.

Silhouette Course

I started my 6 week silhouette course last night at Scrapbook Central. I have had my Silhouette for 2 years and rarely use it except to make titles. I loved the upgraded design studio that I installed yesterday and the card we made was so easy.

I can't wait to see what else we do.
