Rainy Monday

Today actually went pretty quickly, which I am grateful for. LOL The weekend didn't really seem to go too fast. Friday and Saturday Dalton was at birthday parties so we barely saw him.
Mark and I stripped the wallpaper in the bathroom and I washed the walls and ceiling. It looks totally different now. Mark should be priming the walls one night this week and then we are painting the room on Saturday. I can't wait. I am also planning on washing the walls in the hallway one evening because I might paint those walls as well, if I have enough paint.
Last week a friend brought over glass shelves that we ordered from him. They were for the built in cabinet in the living room. So Mark installed those Saturday night while Dakota and I watched Christmas movies all afternoon. It looks great. I also put out some of my snowmen. This picture doesn't show the whole cabinet but you can see how thick the shelf is so light didn't get very far.

Sunday I did a Holiday photo shoot for a friend, I think I have only 2 more to do. I think they will turn out pretty good. Then I made ornaments for the ornament exchange at sorority tonight. I also did a scrapbook page. I am getting closer to my goal of completing 160 layouts this year. I think I will be able to do it. I have already finished one teacher's gift and have only 1 left to do.

The most exciting thing that has happened so far this month was that I got to go to my very first WEEKEND CROP!! I went with a couple of friends to Tim Horton's Onondago Farms childrens camp. It was a pretty cool place and I enjoyed a nice walk around on Saturday morning. Silly me, I didn't bring my camera and a nice swam posed so beautifully in front of a fountain in this pond. Oh well.


We all brought so much stuff, and I was trying not to. I brought my laptop filled with page layouts and some movies for Saturday night. Here is a picture of our table early Saturday afternoon..just before I went for a nap due to a migraine.

I won a couple of things..several for door prizes and a couple from draw tickets (everytime you completed a layout or for whatever they felt like you would get a ticket.)Here is what I won, minus a pair of scissors.

Anyways, I completed 19 pages in our 2004 Disney vacation album. I still have pages to do but at least it is started.

Last weekend we took Riley and Dakota to see Madagascar 2. I believe it was Dakota's first feature movie. She was good, but preferred to stand instead of sitting in her chair.


This weekend I am hoping to take the wallpaper off the walls in the bathroom and Dalton has 2 birthday parties to go to. I have been on muscle relaxants off and on for a week..hopefully that will end soon.

I meant to post after Thanksgiving and then again the following weekend and then after halloween but was so busy never got around to it. Now I am watching Desperate Housewives and typing this. We spent Thanksgiving at Mark's parents place. It was beautiful up in Hastings and I got some lovely photos and some so so family photos. Mom made a great turkey dinner and the boys actually ate some, Dakota wasn't so co-operative.













The next weekend my good friends got married. Margaret made a beautiful bride and literally glowed all day. Mark was very handsome. I helped out where I could and took a great photo of the couple..at least I think so. LOL I also took a pic of the kids at home after the wedding. Riley's shirt was already untucked and Dakota insisted that they kneel for the photo.





Then of course there was Halloween. Dakota was Minnie Mouse, Dalton a dead rocker (complete with 80's hairband wig) and Riley was Death from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Dalton got to go with his friends on their own. They did really well and were back when they were suppose to be. Mark and I then went to the Dogpound to see our friends band "Mental Note". We had a great time.



This is the only photo of me. I took it when we got home from the bar. Only had 2 drinks but thought I should show that I was in costume.



I am going to do another post tomorrow..mainly because I need to take some more photos to show what I did all weekend. I had been looking forward to this weekend for months and already can't wait until next year.
