260 G is for Green

 

Welcome to March, spring is coming and St Patrick's Day, therefore the Sisterhood thought G is for Green would be perfect for this month's challenge.

I struggled for half a moment but then found this great saying online from Maxine. Thought it was perfect and may just display the card at the office when the boss is in the same day as me.  

 I found the green beer photo online and printed it out. Of course, I didn't think to print the sentiment at the same time or use cardstock.  So for the sentiment I used my label printer and put it on green cardstock, I liked the beer not on c/s so I went with it. 

The image is from Kenny K designs (closed down sadly) and colored with Tri-blend marker's.

SoSS 259 L is for Love

It's the month of love and Edna is loving the candy hearts. 

My card(s) are not snarky this time but I got a couple done. 

I will be spending today making as many Valentine/love cards as I can because The Flower House wants a ton of  valentine cards from me this year. 

So I designed this quick and simple cards so that I can teach my sorority sisters for a program idea.

I bought the die off Amazon. 

The background was done ink blending distress inks (I had the girls just run them on the paper)

The ladies had fun putting the cards together and some did their own take on it.

SoSS 258 N is for NBUS

 

Happy New Year. It's 2025. Last year (let's be real, as you get older every year) went by so fast. 

I don't do resolutions etc but my goal is to be a better design team member and get my cards done in time and my commenting done :) Fingers crossed I don't mess up in the summer. Should be easier with my daughter not doing travel baseball, but we will see. :)

This first challenge for 2025 (and as noted our 258th challenge) is NBUS..Never Been Used Stuff. So find a stamp or paper or embellishment or technique you have never used and USE IT!!

I used a new stamp set that I hadn't used yet.. My Favorite Things Sassy Pants Bday Greetings, 

I ended up making two cards. 

Here is the first one.

I used a technique from Gina K using her mask magic tape. 

I also used Gina K inks for the background. 

The image is by Art Impressions called Wine Diva

I heat embossed the sentiment using Gina K embossing powder.

Here is the 2nd one and it is a lift of one done by MFT design team Donna Mjikasa.

This one is for my daughters boyfriends 19th birthday in a couple of weeks. 

I used Concord & 9th inks for the color on the letters.

SoSS 256 C is Critter

 

Welcome to a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

This months challenge is C is for Critter.

At first I was thinking, what critter do I have, but I actually own a lot.

I decided to go with these cute hedgehogs from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is, as always, from the beautifully snarky Dyan Reaveley.

I randomly already had this paper embossed so I went with it. I added 3 or 4 colors of Distress ink for color.

Hedgehogs were colored with Tri-blends.

SoSS 255 H is for Halloween

Hello.. it has been a bit since I have posted or even made a card. Summer is always busy for me and my mojo was nowhere to be found, intentions were there but nothing would come of it. 

This month's challenge is H is for Halloween pink if you prefer. Pink Halloween is our annual tradition.

SoSS 252 L is for Lindsey

 

As you know we lost our Sistah Lindsey in 2022. We decided that we needed to do a challenge in her honor.  I went back to her blog and it stood out to me that she did a lot of clean and simple (but gorgeous) cards. 

I took inspiration from her last one which was a big sentiment. 

Neither of mine are snarky but I like them I also used purple.

SoSS 251 D is for DieCut

I missed last months card and I thought about it all month but my creative mojo has been missing. 

Even for this month's challenge I struggled until I finally had a plan. Once I got going I was like, why don't I pull out my Tim Holtz stuff more often. I used to be all Tim all the time.  I do like to get messy with Tim and Dyan stuff, just never seem to have the time when I have the mojo 

Anyways, this month challenge is D is for Diecuts.  When I saw this sentiment by Dyan, it triggered me remembering the moon stencil.. took me a good while to find it but was glad I did.  Then I went looking for the haunted house die by Tim but either I don't own it or I have lost it. I did find one cut out and it was too big for a card, but this row of houses  also by Tim worked.
