Have you missed me?
I have been terrible at blogging..sorry for you faithful followers. It seems like I rarely get a minute alone with having a toddler, life, and pregnancy. Nothing too new going on here. Seth has been looking for civilian jobs and I am really keeping my fingers crossed that he gets hired outside of the Marine Corps so we can settle down and buy a house, etc. Payton is growing up way too fast and I am amazed at what she does daily. She makes me so proud to have her as my daughter. My pregnancy is going well so far. I am now 21-22 weeks. It keeps changing with each appt. I am still in shock that we are having a boy and can't believe Payton will be a big sister. I am supposed to have my scheduled c-section on March 10th but will keep everybody up to date on that. That is the newest in our worlds and I will try to be a better blogger and update everybody on news around here.

29 months old
It seems like my baby changed into a little girl overnight! She is doing so much more developmentally that I find so amusing. Here are some things that she is doing lately:
She is now sleeping in her "big girl" bed.
She roll plays princess, mom, and fairy. I love having a girl that plays dress-up!
She story tells.
She loves gymnastics and says she wants to do flips when she is big. (signing her up when she is 3)
She is fully potty-trained. YAY!!
She rides her tricycle.
She has books memorized and reads them aloud. Love it!!
She identifies colors and shapes.
Each day I love her more and I am so proud of my girl. She is the best thing that could have
happened to me. (pictures to come)

Aloha!
We were very fortunate to be able to go to Oahu for a week as a family. It is a stunning place to visit with the most beautiful beaches and laid back lifestyle. We spent most of the week there exploring beaches and my favorite spot was Kailua. The sand was like silk and the water water was the most beautiful shade of blue. We spent a day at the Dole Plantation and ate enough Dole Whip, delicious pineapple-vanilla ice cream, for an entire family. We also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center where we took a canoe ride down a stream and learned about the many cultures that made up the islands of Hawaii. It was fascinating to see the show there. Payton loved the dancing and kept asking for the "hulas." Her and I even learned a hula dance and now she puts on performances for us at home. It was a memorable trip and it was wonderful just to be with my family that I love.

Nasty Viruses
It has been so crazy around here the past two weeks. I got the flu and threw up all night long, Payton has had a crazy cough and cold but is on antibiotics, and Seth had migraines for about 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks of having migraines, he finally went to the dr yesterday and they did tests and diagnosed him with Viral Meningitis. I was so worried about him because I had never seen him in so much pain and nothing seemed to work for him. After spending a night in the hospital, they sent him home with antibiotics and pain meds. I am thankful that he went to the hospital and is okay. He feels better but is really tired.
I am ready for the flu season(well, winter) to be over. I miss the sunny CA living with a healthy family. I hope that we get rid of these nasty viruses going around so we can play soon.
Stay healthy friends and family or just stay away from us:)

I am failing
I am sorry because I haven't been keeping up on the blog. There has been so much going on over the last few months: Seth came home!!, Payton has been going to preschool, the in-laws came to visit, Halloween, the USMC Birthday Ball, and life. We have been really enjoying our time together as a family. It has been awesome to have alone time with Seth because we have awesome friends to swap babysitting with. We enjoyed some dinners alone and then we had a night away for the Birthday Ball. Seth has been taking Payton to do stuff so I can have alone time as well, which is about the best thing in the world!
We have had two families that we met in VA move here as well. We have been having dinners together and reconnecting. I love how we can pick up just where we left off.
Seth has been busy with work and Payton and I have been doing our thing as usual. I am loving life with my family back together.
I apologize that there aren't any pictures but I lost my camera cord. Hopefully I will find it soon and post them for you all to enjoy.
