County Fair Time

This year we hit up both the Park and Big Horn County fairs. We we to the Park county with our friends the Whitaker's. We got dinner with them before heading over. The kids always love the looking at the animals. Ian isn't a fan of touching the animals, but has a smile on his face the whole time. Once in a while he will plug his nose. I don't blame him. They kind of stink. Chloe wanted to pet every single animal we saw. Her favorite were the cows I think though. After looking at all the animals her and Tell rode a couple of rides together. After that we went and used our gift card we had to Wyogurt. It was a great night, spending with out cute little family.
Then the following weekend my sister Sam was up visiting and we met her and my mom at the fair parade during the Big Horn county fair time. We are going to have to go to that parade more often. The kids scored a Wal-mart sack full of candy. Ian once again was loving all the otter pops they threw.  After the parade we headed over to the fair. We checked out the animals for a bit. Then let the kids play in the bouncy houses and the water park. It was a great day. The only one bad thing happened. I got a bad chip in my Tahoe's windshield. I hate this time of year where the rocks are flying.

Cowley's Day

Cowley celebrates the Pioneer day when the pioneers originally settled in the surrounding states on the 24th and 25th of July. They have a little parade that we usually attend. We went this year, and the kids had a blast. Jan's sister Diane was up for the celebration. It was great to see her. After the parade we headed and looked at some chickens in Powell that we wanted. Then we headed back to Cowley to Matthew's Aunt Sherie and Uncle Dave's house for lunch. We didn't stay too long because Ian was so ready for a nap. Also they had a swimming pool there full of dirty water that he wanted to play in, and we wouldn't let him. So he was super mad at us.  He never napped once we got home, so Matthew made him a swimming pool. He made it out of a tarp and a tractor tire. Both the kids played forever. Chloe said to Matthew "wow dad" when she woke up from her nap to swim. We enjoyed watching the kids play in the pool for a while.

We love animals!

A while back Matthew was able to AI his dad's pigs and one of them ended up being pregnant. She gave birth to a few piglets, and the kids just love them. Chloe asks daily to go see the pigs and chickens at grandma and papa Asay's. Oh did I mention we are the proud owners of 16 goats now?? Well we are. They have been great weed eaters. Also we have chickens as well. We are loving having some animals and the kids love it too. Chloe has a love for horses, and it's so fun to hear her talk about horses. The other day she told Matthew, "I horse girl daddy." We are in for a super expensive hobby if that's the case :)

Girls Weekend in Laramie

This last weekend, Bethany, Chloe and I headed to Laramie for a good sisters weekend. We left early Thursday morning for the long drive. When we got there we let the kids play for a bit before going to the store for some stuff for dinner. It was Brandy's birthday that day, so I was so glad we got to be there to celebrate with her. Mark made a yummy dutch oven dinner for us all. Sam and Evan came over also for the celebration. After dinner we headed to the park with Easton's hot wheel Jeep. Chloe was in heaven driving that thing around. She was quite the driver. That night we stayed up far too late laughing and telling stories.

Friday was our big trip to Denver. We hit up the zoo and shopping at the Outlets in Centrea. We all loaded up in the Tahoe, and Mark drove around all day. Easton and Chloe loved the zoo, and did awesome. We got there just in time for the elephant show. It was so fun to see all the tricks the elephant could do. I think that Chloe's favorite animal was the seals. She could of stayed there the whole time watching them. 2nd was the monkeys. She still tells people about the monkeys at the zoo. After the zoo, the kids crashed on the way to Centrea. It took us a good hour or more to get there, so it was great for the kids to get a good nap. We ate at Red Robin and hit up the stores for some good ol shopping. In the little shopping area there is a small splash pad. We took the kids swimming suits and by the time we got done shopping they weren't too into it. Chloe did put her head in the water a couple of times. So just enough playing for pictures.

Saturday morning we slept in, and hung out. Brandy was able to take some senior pictures of Bethany too. They turned out great, and we can't wait to see more. Before leaving Laramie we had to get some Corona Village for lunch of course. Then Easton and Chloe needed one more drive in hot wheels. These two were the best of friends this weekend. It was so fun to see them play together. I was so glad that we got to go have a great weekend with my sisters.

4th of July 2015

We had a great 4th of July .We met my parents on the Big Horns for a little picnic. We picnic right where my family use to pasture their sheep. When I was really little my family had sheep, and I got to go up and help herd sheep. It was fun to see this little pasture area. The mountains were very pretty and the weather was great. We hung out for a couple of hours, ate lots of yummy food, had lots of laughs and went on little hikes with the kids. Ian and Chloe spotted a stream to play in, and had a blast.
After we left my parents headed home, and we decided to go on a little drive. We drove all the way down by Porcupine Falls and back to the high way. Next time we will have to get out and hike the falls. Matthew or I have never seen them. We would of hiked them then, but Chloe was sleeping. We did spot a moose and her baby while on our little drive though.
When we got home Matthew mowed his mom's grass. Then we headed down to have a bbq with Stan, Jan and Grandma Dorthy.
We had a great laid back 4th. I am so happy that I am an American. That I get to live in this beautiful land. I am truly blessed!

Chloe the Cowgirl in Dry head

Thursday Stan and Jan called me and wondered if they could take Chloe to Dry head with them. Ian was still sick, so it was so nice of them to take her. She had a blast helping Papa Asay chase the baby cow back to it's mama. She is still talking about that trip. She tells me "help Papa cows,"  "baby go to mama cow", "I say up cows." This girl is a true cowgirl!

Poor Sick Ian

This week Ian has been super sick. He hasn't been eating well or anything at all. Tuesday we went to Billings for therapy. His therapist said he was acting kind of off and lethargic (for him) all day. He napped really well on the way home. Then a hour or so after getting home he threw up twice, and had really bad runny diapers. He was this way all day Wednesday as well. We canceled therapy all together. That night I was trying to figure out why he would be not eating much, laying around/sleeping lots, and keeping nothing down + runny diapers. I remembered that on Monday he was helping me water the flowers. Well he drank some the water that comes from the ditch. It wasn't much. After remembering this I called the hospital clinic right away to talk to a nurse. They wanted to see him, but had no openings. They wanted him at the ER with the last soiled diaper he had. They check him out and decided that it seemed like he had giardia. They sent us home with the medicine that help with that as well as nausea meds. They sent the diaper off to the lab to be tested.
Meanwhile at home, Ian would not keep the giardia medicine down at all. He was eating a little better, and drinking. Every time we gave him the medicine it all came up.
The clinic called the next morning and told us it wasn't giardia, thank goodness. We must of just caught as little flu bug. It was the worst flu bug poor Ian had ever had. By Saturday he was feeling 100% better.
