The handsome hubbies

That's right, we all look freakin awesome, as usual!

So, our babies are 2! Crazy how fast it goes. We started their day off with their favorite pancakes, and then we got to decorate for the party. Then I took the girls to lunch at McDonald's where they got to play on the "lide"(slide) Their very favorite. Which is good because that's what they got from Matt and I, was a little slide for their bedroom. Then we got to have our families over and have dinner and cupcakes(yep, I forgot the ice cream......again) And the girls got to play with Wyatt, Lukey and Savvy and all their new toys! It was a wonderful day and we appreciate everyone coming to the party and the gifts for the girls!

Then our annual friend Halloween party was at our house this year. So we decorated and cooked all sorts of yummy foods and got to enjoy our friends that we don't get to see as often because we all moved in different directions, except for the Monsen's of course:)

And then we had our annual pumpkin carving contest at my moms. Complete with a caramel apple bar, which was delicious, even if all the caramel did run off of the apples. Sort of like mine did for the Halloween party. Matt and I won first and second place, with Am coming in third place. We got some awesome prizes this year and thanks mom for doing this! It's such a fun tradition and one that we can't wait for the kids to get into as they get older.
I love this time of year because it is full of all our family traditions and getting into the holidays. We sure love our families and all the fun we have with them. Today we are off to St. George for the What Women Want expo. Hopefully we will sell lots of stuff, but even if we don't, I get to go have fun with Matt, my girls, parents and sister and her family. Wish us luck:)

This is the princess that they were terrified of!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. It is the start of all the holidays, and of course, my birthday. I love it when the weather starts to cool down and you get to pull out all your sweaters. I love pulling out my decorations. We took the girls to Corn Belly's with our friends, the Taylor's and other than being afraid of the pumpkin princess, they loved it. I think Halloween isn't going to be so fun for them, because they are afraid of anyone in a costume. We are working on it though! Yesterday we took almost all the grand kids, along with my mom, sister, sister in law, and Matt and I to a pumpkin patch. The girls walked right up the goats and fed them. Then we walked to where the pumpkins were and they both started to cry......like I said, we are working on it. It was so fun seeing them run around with their cousins, who take such good care of them.

Last, but not least, we are almost done with the yard. Only planting and the electrical for the lights are left. It looks so different with the sod down, and we could not have done it without all the help we had!!! So a HUGE thank you to my parents, who spent almost as much time out there as we did, Jer, Dan, Kim, Tyson, Becky, Justin, Chris and of course, our babysitter Am!!!! We appreciate each one of you sacrificing your time to help us!!! Love you all!!!

p.s. yard pics to come as soon as we are completely done!

Emerie

Addy

So, we have had quite a crazy summer, with finishing the yard, sewing like crazy, Matt getting school done. We haven't had a lot of extra time, but we were able to squeeze in a camping trip with my sister and her fam. We try and go once a year with them. We went to Six Lakes which is always fun. Let me just say that while it was fun, it was crazy! Poor Emerie fell on a cactus the first day. Luckily it was just her hand and not her whole body. She cried for a second and then wanted down to keep playing. Then the morning we were leaving Addy woke up with a yucky eye which turned out to be viral pink eye(yes, I learned there are 3 different kinds of pink eye) This meant there was nothing we could do for her, but keep it clean. They loved camping and waking up with Keem, Bee, Dan and baby Manny. When we got home Addy was devastated to learn that we weren't sleeping "aside." Then she was sad that Keem wasn't there. How dumb to be stuck at home with mom and dad, right:)
We are almost finished with the yard, which is good because our gift certificates for the lawn run out next week. We are so grateful for ALL the help we have had. Especially my parents! Without my dads knowledge of everything, we would have been lost. We can't wait to have it done and actually see green instead of just dirt!
I am excited to announce that we got our boutique in the Provo Quilted Bear and when a booth opens up at the Ogden, they have accepted our application as well. Now we just have to wait to hear about the Midvale location. We are also going down to St. George in October for the What Women Want expo.(yay, road trip) We get to bring the hubbies too! I have loved doing this with my mom, sister and sister in law. I love spending time with them and we just get together to "work" and just laugh! Thanks girls!!!

So we made it to Oregon and only packed half the house. I swear traveling with kids is INSANE!!! We had 3 suitcases, 2 pack n plays, 2 car seats, and the craziest of all, 2 almost 2 year olds. Mike and Kelsey set the whole family up in a beach house in Lincoln City. It had an AMAZING view of the beach AND was big enough to fit the whole family! Thanks Mike and Kels! It was so fun seeing Sam again and having him meet the girls. We got to take the girls to the beach for their first beach trip and also went to Tillamook and the air museum! And one of the best parts was that we got to get out of the heat here, which Matt and I hate! It was in the low 70's the whole time and felt awesome! We didn't want to come home, but had to!(dang-it)
Now it's off to our boutique's first festival tomorrow!

4th of July

As you can see, they both look THRILLED to be there!!!
Mimi was nice and let Addy sit on her shoulders

Playing with Scout(p.s. I love night gowns on little girls, they are so cute!!!)

Papa was always doing something fun with the girls! That's why everyone loves him so much!!!

Eating a well rounded lunch of ramen, cheeses, and oranges. Anyone who has been to the cabin knows that food-wise, anything goes:)

So for the 4th of July, we got to go to the cabin with my family and spend some time out of the heat of the city! It was so nice up there. The first day it was just Matt, the girls and I and then my family started to trickle in after that.
On the 4th, we woke up to Emerie having a temperature and not feeling very well. We gave her some tylenol, which helped and then we were off to the parade in Oakley. This was the girls first parade and I think at first, they weren"t sure about some things, but then they warmed up after they realized that people were throwing free candy at them! I mean, how bad can that really be?!?! After the parade, it was back up the mountain for lunch and riding four wheelers and naps. Then we headed back down to Oakley for the rodeo and fireworks! Poor Nems fever didn't fully go away till Monday, after we got back, but it was fun and relaxing and just what we needed!
Now we are off to Oregon!
And WELCOME HOME UNCLE SAM!!!!!!!
