...i hope for real this time! :)
So here's, the deal-- i have the family history bug! As I've been getting more into it (it is so cool by the way!) I can't shake this feeling I keep having.. Which is this: It is SO amazing to do family history for my ancestors that lived years and years ago, but what about now? What about my my parents and grandparents with amazing stories that have not been written down? Am I wasting opportunities everyday to preserve those? What about MY family history? What am I leaving for my kids? If you know me at all, you know I LOVE pictures! My phone and computer are always maxed from the thousands of pictures I have on there. Its nice that they are on there, but they shouldn't just be on there! They should be organized in books and journals and in my family history!! So this is my new years resolution... for November ;) i'm going to start with weekly posts! I'm trying to be realistic, so i'm sure some posts wont razzle and dazzle, but they will preserve a memory, a moment in my life that i want to remember :0)
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny. Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience."
~President Gordon B. Hinckley
Boy, do i love that man.... Here's to family history!! :o)
