Rain Boots!

My mother bought AJ her first pair of rain boots and she LOVES them - from the time she wakes up she want to wear them - even right after the bath before she gets on any cloths...

You can totally tell this is her doing - look how they are even on the wrong feet!!!

Football Sunday Breakfast!

Everyone knows to sit around and watch football all day you need to eat a good breakfast! Well for our first football Sunday of the season, that is exactly what we did! AND for the first time I tried cooking bacon in the oven - I WILL NEVER EVER PAN FRY BACON AGAIN! It was awesome - perfectly crispy and there was zero mess! All you do is preheat the oven to 400 degrees, line a baking dish with foil, lay the bacon down flat on it and pop it in for 20 minutes - it was PERFECT!

Hot & Sour AJ!!!

Not only do people finally think she is looking more and more like me, but the girl LOVES her hot & sour soup - it was even on the spicy side and she went to town on it!!! My goodness I LOVE HER - she makes her mama proud!!!

Little Explorers Nature Class

In addition to AJ's music lessons, we signed her up for this class at the Roseland Environmental Center. What really enticed me was the price of the class ($5/class and they go through November - can't beat that), but now that we have had the first one I would definitely paid a lot more for them! We had such a great first class. When the kids got there they all got to make name tags - they were little frogs that they got to color in. Next we went outside for a nature hunt - we had all different things that we were looking for - frogs, clam shells, turtle shells, cattails, moss, poison ivy, duckweed and we got to go see the passaic river! It was really fun to walk the kids through the woods on the trails and then touch and see some of the different things. After our nature walk, we went back into the classroom and got to see a raccoon skin and then played a matching game of the things we just saw and learned about. I love this class and really can't wait for next week!!!

Almost forgot - what makes the class even more special is AJ's friends Fiona & Shane are in it!!!

Annual Labor Day Family Picnic

Every year since before I was even born, my mothers side of the family has a Labor Day Picnic. The whole family gets together for some food, folks & fun! This year did not disappoint - the food was great and so was the company. AJ had a blast running around with all the kids - it's amazing how many there are and how new generations keep on forming! I hope this a tradition that keeps going and going and going and one my children will love as much as me!

Pool Party!

For the last weekend of summer we had a great pizza & pool party at Grandma & Pop Pop's house! We were so lucky, the weather turned out awesome! AJ, Alex & Marley had a awesome time playing in the pool with Nicholas, Christopher & Matthew and I enjoyed soaking up the sun for the last time! Great Grandpa, Nana & Tracy were there too and it was so great to see everyone!
