Christmas Activities

We had a blast this season celebrating with some fun activities. The boys made Christmas trees, and wrote letters to Santa. Donaven even wrote a sweet letter to Jesus.

It sadly didn’t last very long, the walls caved in and daddy’s fire truck quickly arrived on the scene to save the day! Smile

Donaven’s Pre-K Recital

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this little man participated with his class in the Christmas Recital! They all worked hard at memorizing several songs and poems and even played a few instrument's as well.

Donaven has really enjoyed his teacher Mr. Martinez. I mean he can play the guitar! It doesn't get any cooler than that in my boys eyes!!! He also loves Mrs. Glenda, the music and brain gym teacher.

Even Brandon was able to get off work and be in the audience which made Donaven very happy! We sure are proud of you Donaven and love your sweet spirit!!!

Visiting Santa at the mall.

On Tuesday we got the exciting opportunity to go with Donaven’s pre-k class to see Santa at the mall…I mean the north pole! Winking smile When Emerson and I caught up to Donaven we found him waiting patiently for his turn to meet the jolly big guy. He was was kind of excited when he finally notice we were there.

When his turn came up he bravely sat right down on Santa’s lap with a smile and let him know that he had been extra good this year.

Emerson put his foot down letting me know that he was not interested in sitting on Santa’s lap and I didn’t push. But I did request a photo in front of the beautiful tree.

Don’t they look so handsome! This is my new favorite photo of my sweet boys. Afterwards Santa kindly read the Night Before Christmas and passed out candy canes to each kiddo.

I let Donaven choose between riding the bus back to school or just coming home with us. He chose to stick with us and have a little fun window shopping. Of course we can’t make a trip to the mall with out stopping to ride on the bull and race car. 2012-12-11_14-28-52_770

Family night : Christmas tree

Tonight for family night we talked about a few symbols of Christmas. The evergreen tree representing eternal life and the lights on the tree symbolizes the light of Christ. I shared a few scriptures and we did a little Christmas tree craft. The boys had a lot of fun decorating their own tree. I hope that this holiday season that when they see a beautiful lit tree their thoughts might turn towards the Savior and the great gift he has all ready given us.
