I can't turn my back for a second !

Punguin Habitat

I was in my room doing laundry when I realized I hadn't heard from Donaven in a while. He is normally always right by my side. I found him in his room diligently building, "his very own penguin habitat." I love that he is staring to use his imagination and branching out in creative ways with independent play. He was so proud of his creation and so was I.

A little mud never hurt nobody...

While taking a walk with the boys after a little rain shower Donaven asked me if he could play in the puddles. Normally I would say no but this time I decided why not let them have a little fun.

 

Emerson was pretty pleased with himself. 

Valentines

I had a lot of fun decorating the house for heart day this year. Below is a heart garland made of construction paper and sewn together. Really simple yet satisfying. Along with a few other touches to complete that loving feeling ambiance I was going for.

Valentines started as a day like any other day. Emerson was sick and I took him in to see the doctor. I wiped noses and changed diapers most of the day, until Brandon came home with flowers in hand and Breaking Dawn (part 1). We had a lovely candle lit dinner then enjoyed the movie. It turned out to be a special day after all.

Proof

I don't know what overcame me but I suddenly got the strong desire to really deep clean the kitchen. After a few hours of hard work I stepped back and relished in the moment. There is something so completely gratifying to me about having a spotless kitchen. Then I pulled out my phone and took a few photos for proof because I knew it wouldn't last long.
