6 Month Photo Shoot

The Baby Hero and I decided we should take some 6 month pictures of him. Well, ok, this is how it went.
Math Hero: "Chunky Monkey, you are so cute."
Baby Hero: "Hahahaha"
Math Hero: "We should take pictures of you at 6 months old."
Baby Hero: "Bamahawa"
Math Hero: "I'm so glad you agree. Let's do it today!"

It was then that the Baby Hero realized that Mom was going to pull out blankets to make a back drop, and several outfits. (He let me change is outfit once, and then was done with that.)

Here are the pictures, some of which turned out really well!

Playing while Mom sets up! He's discovered that he can roll himself up in the blanket I put on the floor (in a vain attempt to catch the spit-up on the blanket) and it's his new favorite activity!

One of my favorites...too bad the angle catches the wall!

I think he looks like the Belly-Smart Hero in this one, (back when she was six months old of course). Our genes are dominating! I think it could be the way he's looking at the camera. What do you think?

Now on to the favorites!

Thank You!

I just wanted to send out a BIG thank you to all those who helped us get the Baby Hero Sleeping. We get so many complements on how sweet he is, and how calm he is, and I am almost positive it is all because we try our hardest to keep him well rested. So Thank you for all your support and teaching. We wouldn't have known how to do it, or how important it is if you hadn't taught us. Thanks to Alyosha-Hero, Smart-Hero, and all the rest of the gang!

(The Baby Hero likes to sleep on his side, but he's not asleep. This is the closest thing I could get to a sleeping picture.)

What a Good Looker!

The Baby Hero did it! (We're not very surprised.) He made it to six months! He and I went to the doctor's office and the Doctor complemented him on his good looks! Genetically, he's doing great! But then the doctor explained that the Baby Hero looks around great! He turns his head and body to look behind him, and wants to see everything that's going on around him! It's awesome fun! This is his solemn looking out the window. Fascinated with the world around him.

Enjoy his good looks!

Deer in the Headlights look:
The I-Won't-Look-At-Mom look:
And the new look: Watch-What-Happens-When-I-Drop-This look:We love his looks! I'll keep trying to get a good picture of my favorite look, his Dad's-Home look!

Nap Time

The Baby Hero had this reaction to his nap time about 2 weeks ago. We thought it was priceless.

Don't Make me Sic my Flying Monkey on You

The Baby Hero, is also lovingly known as the The Chunky Monkey. From the Monkey, there have been other nicknames: Ninja Monkey, for instance. He works hard at ninja like skills, of stealth and attack. His attacks are more of a bodily fluid attack then of an arm or leg attack. But he's good at what he does.

He also has decided that he wants to fly. Here are his efforts to be a Flying Monkey. It's a good thing his green seat has a seat belt.

Don't make me sic him on you. You'll be overcome in cuteness and then he'll do something dangerous like long distance spitting.

Yes, I even edited this movie. Aren't You Impressed? I know that I am impressed! It started out as 5 different movies.

Internet!!!

YIPPEE!!! I'm back on line! We've got Internet back here and we're up and running! The Baby Hero is also 6 months old, or .5 years old. It's really amazing to see how much he's grown. He continues to delight in everything (except bedtime). He smiles and rolls around.

His next goal: Sit up by himself, not just in the cool green bebepod!

My next goal: Update slowly and catch you guys up, but not inundate you with five gazillion posts in one day.

New Home

So, I know that I've disappeared for a while, but in my defense, it's hard work to move and get everything ready. We don't have internet yet, but will on Friday, so then I will start my massive amounts of posting to update you on the Baby Hero's growth and cuteness.

Today was a big event. I unpacked my boxes of books, and I finally feel like I'm at home again! I found so many good friends that I missed. (Every other box, I would open it up and say, "OOO! This is a good box!" The Bug Hero made fun of me.)

We are doing well.
