Jacob!
Jacob turns 8 today!
Jacob was my "surprise baby", but the best surprise I have ever received.
He is so excited to be getting baptized in just a few weeks.
How we named Jacob was quite comical. We had two names picked out. Bryan and Jacob. Just after he was born, Matt called his family to tell them the good news. They asked what his name was and we realized we hadn't talked about that yet or decided. We both said at the same time that his name was "Jacob". We had a specific middle name picked out, but it caused a lot of controversy. I was so frustrated in the hospital that I picked up the phone book, flipped it open and pointed, this became his middle name. So his middle name is Nickolas. I do wish I would have stood up and kept the original name. The older two have middle names after a family member, but not Jacob. Sorry bud. He hates his middle name.
Getting to know Jacob:
* He loves the color green
* He loves trucks and cars
* He loves to clean the stove (a mothers dream)
* He looks good in glass, but hates them!
* He is so excited to be in Cub Scouts!
* Jacob hasn't decided what he wants to be when he gets older!
* He wants to go to England like his dad for his mission!

Scout camp!
Nathan's first Boy Scout camping trip!
Matt and Nathan packing up to go! Have a great time!
I was really nervous to let him go on his first scout camp. Then, Matt was able to switch days with someone at work that allowed him to go. I am so relieved! The control freak in me had to go through his pack and give a few suggestions. I am just not ready to let go.

Don't ever judge a book by its cover!
It is amazing that when you first look at her you automatically judge her. Thinking you are going to be hearing the funniest performance of your life.
You don't have to be thin, beautiful or have money. You just need to believe in yourself and have a dream.
My hat is off to her. She is amazing and has such a wonderful personality. I hope she goes far and continues to dream. What a wonderful example to us all. We can accomplish anything, if we would just believe in ourselves.

Easter
I loved conference last week. So many things spoke to my heart and challenged me.
Elder Holland's talk was very moving and seeing it in this clip was perfect for this day. I have a better understanding of the atonement and a greater love for my brother Jesus Christ, I am so thankful and humbled.
Happy Easter, I hope all of you take the time to day to remember the true meaning of this day, by remembering our savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice.
