Watched 'Hotel For Dogs' yesterday night and it was awesome. For all doglovers and even those who previously dislike dogs may change their views cos' of this show. And its amazing how they manage to finish filming such a difficult movie :D

Freedom for food
Went to Outram to get the stitches out and the surgeon just used a pair of surgical scissors to cut out, plus gum. Blood. Ewwww.
BUT nevermind, I am free to eat whatever I want already. (though I have alr broken the rule cos bro bought me choc)
Meet May at Bugis and went for my lunch. Then shop ard alil then went over to National Library where I browsed for MORE recipe books :D
Then cross over for high tea at Food for Thought. It is a pretty cosy place but I dislike the fact that they only sell breakfast in morning, lunch at noon, desserts at late noon and dinner at night. Too unflexible, thats why the whole restaurant only has May and I as customers. The cakes there are so so. I had Carrot cake and May had banana chocolate cake. I hate banana stuff.
The drinks are not good either. I prefer Gloria Jean's Coffee's carrot cake and drinks compared to this one. But nvm, its the company that matters most right :D
Headed back to Bugis Junction for more beauty buys.
Re done my hand and toe nails and I love the results! Patience is the best tool for good stuff. How true :D

P.S. I still can't really smile cos there's this really tight feeling whenever I want to laugh/ smile and May said I smile til very fake zzz.

Yam Paste
I LOVE YAM PASTE. I LOVE ANYTHING THATS GOT TO DO WITH YAM.
be it yam snowshake, yam cakes, yam kuehs, yam whatever.
AND making Yam Paste, otherwise locally known as 'Orh Nee', is actually very easy. :D
(can serve up to 6)
INGREDIENTS:
1 regular Yam (peeled and chopped into cubes)
1/2 cup Sugar (white/ coarse; taste & adjust according to personal preferences)
1/2 cup Gingko Nuts (shelled, as many as you like also can)
4 tbs Olive/ Canola/ Sunflower Oil
1/2 cup Water (more/less according to preference on texture)
If anyone out there ever forgot/ don't know yam and gingko nuts look like.
DIRECTIONS:
1) Boil the yam cubes for approx. 10mins until tender
2) Drain the yam cubes and after its cooled, mash it into a paste using the back of fork
3) Heat the oil in a pan
4) Pour in the yam paste and stir it
5) Add in sugar and continue to stir
6) Add water gradually and keep stirring until desired texture and taste is achieved
EQUIPMENTS:
1) 1 regular pan
2) 1 fork
3) 1 wooden spatula
RECIPE VARIATIONS:
- You may add in pumpkin cubes with the gingko nuts too, just boil the pumpkin cubes with the yam cubes and side it aside.
- For additional fragrance, you may also add shallots while fying of oil.
- If you have a really sweet tooth, add in coconut milk to the mixture while heated on the pan.
The recipe stated above is studied and modified rapidly by yours truly and it is usable and no health hazards. :)

I am unhappy. I am affected by little things which doesn't even concern me. I know I can don't feel unhappy. But I don't think I can be happy right now. Maybe staying at home for too long is gradually afecting my mental state.
I NEED TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. RAIN OR SHINE. :( I haven't see the world for almost a week. The only contacting human beings visible to my eyes are my father, mother and brother. Yeah the phone has been ringing but texting is different from seeing.
I feel like I am living on another planet. literally.

BOREDDDDDDDDDDDD
A WHINY POST
Hello people I am here to whine. And whine, and whineeeeeee :(
I have not stepped out of the house for 5 days. This means that I have broken p'yunn's very own guiness world records. And cooping up at home is dementing, til the point that I might snap anytime. Don't worry about me starving though. At least I finally mastered the art of cooking porridge (which I never manage to do well before), and I have been spending my free time googling and checking out different varieties of porridge I can work with, not to forget tuning in to Channel 5 on Sunday for 'The Rachael Ray Show' and 'Food 911'. I always love culinary shows :)
And now this is tormenting me. Hello its holidays right? Why am I wasting away at home? But I definitely can't go out still, since my cheeks are still swollen (5th day already but still swollen can?!)
I missed my SL camp cos of this stupid surgery and while everyone and anyone is enjoying themselves catching movies, shopping, dining, playing, chilling whatever outside, I am typing behind my screen and complaining like some whiny bitch.
ARRGHHHHH, my patience is killing me.

after surgery
I had my wisdom teeth surgery hours ago and my lower jaw is totally numb i think i have real dificulty in speech :(
And the process wasn't good at all. my whole body was being wrapped up and i couldn't see a thing. Only my nose (for breathing) and mouth was exposed. Even my ears were wrapped up. Then when the surgeon or what is operating i heard those very loud drilling noise (those you heard at construction site) and I could feel the disgusting pulling, pushing pressure and I thought i could feel sparks flying out. The 40min seemed like years and you know what I am actually thinking to distract myself?
AHAHHAAHAHA - how to make chicken consomme, breaded fish and pasta (those learned during culinary science). And my heart is thumping really loud. Scary. And I still need to go again (next time) for the last wisdom tooth to be extracted. the last one would be even scarier I bet, cos it isn't even visible. It is hidden in the gum.
And my cheeks are so swollen people might think I have a bun hidden inside my mouth and refusing to swallow it or what. wth.
Heng I got myself prepared and stuffed myself with loads of ice creams (esp. yesterday's swensens with May!) and chocolates the week before the surgery. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
ANYWAY, I am currently watching this korean drama and i think i ought to share it with you guys though many of you might already been watching it too :)

HELLO WELLO!!! I have great news here early in this bright chirpy sunny morning people! That is.....................................
YOU NEED NOT TAKE AMATHS OR ANY MATH RELATED COURSE FOR APPLICATION TO LOCAL UNIVERSITY.
I have did my fair share of research and thats enough to win me over and calm my nerves. :)
Admission is dependable on 'O' Level results too, an approximate 20%. :D
However, bad news are that GPA must be at least around a whopping 3.9.
WAH not fair right, cos some poly diplomas are harder to score can. BUT great news again is that this only apply to NUS. The admission grade for SMU is vague and I am not really sure. And actually I have zero interest in NUS. I want to apply for SMU though, direct bus from my house and near town somemore. X)
And you need to go for an interview with the professors at SMU plus do an essay on the spot with really random weird topics.
You need to pass the essay and interview before you can proceed to enrolling in their courses.
Anyway, I am not really worried about the essay part. I am just worried about the GPA part.
Anyone who are studying or have any siblings or friends studying in SMU? Can you people kindly do me a favour by asking them about the required GPA?

Wisdom toothe kills - both bodily and monetarily
Went for another dental consultation with daddy yesterday and did a full Xray and holyshit I actually have 3 wisdom teeth - 2 at lower jaw (one at each end) and 1 at upper jaw (jammed cant grow out). And all of them are impacted wisdom teeth cos the jaw is too small to accommodate all of them. The doctor suggested that I remove all 3 at one go but I refused (imagine the amount of excruciating sufferings I need to bear all at once). 生不如死 ok! :(
So I told him do 2 can already. And I need to miss my SL camp cos of this stupid surgery.
Then went to Chinatown to eat and walk walk. We ate til stomach almost bursting and I accompany dad to buy 4D. I myself went to try my luck too! hahah first time bought by myself. And I was like telling Daddy how I would spend the money if I tio the 4D. I told him I would pay for my own surgery fees (700+ for 2 teeth) and top up somemore and buy a Chanel bag. HAHAHAHHAHA dream on cos I didn't won anything :(
Then went Parkway to pass the cakes and kuehs we bought for grandmother and went Giant to check out the prices there. We are like 2 aunties comparing prices of goods at PP to those at Sheng Siong and market. HAHAHHAAH
P.S. Chinatown is really reowned for its wide variety of 糕点. Oishi!!

Ok I know i know, this must be the (don't know how many) times I have gushed over this hottie, but look, how handsome can he get? The smile is priceless i believe!

Ohmigawd, I am falling head over heels in (reel) love with Chace Crawford, otherwise known as 'Nate Archibald' in Gossip Girls series.
Anyw went beachin' and cycling with ting and jorden at ECP which is unusually deserted and quiet hoho. Unfortunately May couldn't come last min :(

Anyw, I MIGHT be having my wisdom tooth surgery later damn it i am super scared okay. Alright I know whats the big deal man its just a minor surgery BUT its my FIRST ever surgery okay? The furthest surgery I ever went through is when my mum gave birth to me almost 19 years ago. And first timers are always excused for having second thoughts and insecurities. So, don't mind me. And the worst thing that can happen to me after surgery is the need to stay at home for days since I will never ever step out of the house with half my face swollen like pau. And you know what I am hungry now though I just ate my brunch earlier on but i am not supposed to eat anything 6 hours before surgery tmd.
However, Daddy is super sweet to apply leave just to accompany me since his lil precious daughter is so scared heh though I insisted that I could manage on my own apart from the fact that I might not be able to communicate effectively with the cab uncle after the surgery.
I have been bingeing all the heavenly food in preparation of the days following operation w
here by soft diet and liquid foods are the only ones within reach. Do you call this hibernation? Hahaa ya i know its not. And I don't know why am I so crappy today forgive me for that.
Well I will try to update on my tooth asap and thats til then xoxo.
P.S. I could sense the smell of siew mais coming from kitchen and thats daddy eating them and how inconsiderate can he be, knowing the fact that lil daughter is dying of hunger right here in the room. ARRGH.

Kinder, not so surprise.
Bought Kinder Joys and somehow, I still prefer the former Kinder Surprise. Though the new chocolate is definitely nicer, the classic one gave one an impression of curiousity since the toy is embedded inside the chocolate egg. But i have combed through numberous minimarts and NTUCs as well as Giant, and the classic one seemed to already extinct. How can the founders of Kinder chocolates do this? :(

E concert
The E concert is really boring.
But stars such as Luo Zhi Xiang, JJ, Stephanie Sun, Yang Zhong Wei, Shi Xinhui, Wu Jia Hui, Joi Chua, Energy etc came down. Still, its boring and draggy and the night made me felt extremely sleepy. Ran into May at HK Cafe before heading to meet the rest for the concert.
Nonetheless, thanks for the tickets though.

Will be celebrating Grandmother's birthday later, kinda don't feel like going but i know that's out of question. zzz
I actually woke at 6.32am (automatically, as usual) and the bored p'yunn did some random testing with her new gadget while Daddy and mum went all the way to Lor XX (i forgot the name) to get their orders on some longevity buns or something. Heng i refuse to get out of the house. I hate factory areas.

Brother says this is sweets from Ireland he got during Vday. And i am free to eat them. <3

Legend of The Sea
Went onboard the 'Legend of The Seas'.
Photos are all not in order.
The service personnels are really friendly, humorous and knew what service is. They make everyone feel like VIPs. :)

Hve had our lunch in their 'Romeo & Juliet' Dining Room. Its fine dining! And most important, there's a menu for us to pick our choices and we all ended up super duper full. Its a pity i am too busy with the food to the the photos! The food quality is definitely of top grade.
I have had Sour Shrimp Soup, Grilled Salmon with steamed rice & stir-fried vegetables and end the lunch with a sweet note of Strawberry shortcake mousse (should be this) & Chocolate cake with raspberry sauce.
