Hiking(sort of!)

The other day  we went for a "hike" through the El Dorado Nature Center with our friends Emily and Noah. I thought for sure Mason would LOVE running around with his buddy while I got some pictures of the two of them. Unfortunately, I was wrong! Why is it that all he wants to do while at home is go run outside, but while the opportunity to run presents itself, he wants to be carried? A large portion of the time was spent waiting for Mason to stand up and continue walking. Meanwhile, Noah(who should be referred to as "The Blur"!) runs wild, refusing to let me snap a good picture of him. One of the shots that I got reminds me of the elusive Bigfoot photos seen in The National Enquirer so I had to add it! Upon further review of the pictures, I actually think I got some good shots of them and I am quite sure that they both had a blast. We will be back!

Better late than never!

I know...it's been a LONG time since my last update! I haven't been in much of a sharing kind of mood lately, but tonight I thought, why not? We have had quite the busy schedule and made so many new memories(I have THOUSANDS of pictures that I will probably make into a slideshow at some point). Mason has grown so much and continues to amaze me everyday. I am a little sad that in just a couple weeks I will be back at school and we will not be able to have as many adventures :( at least we will have the weekends! Enough about that, here are some of my favorite pictures from our adventures in San Pedro today!

Everywhere that Auntie went, Mason had to follow.

It is a good thing that I had spare underwear/shorts in my car! I should have known that my little fish would have to take a dip in the ocean.  He just couldn't resist the FREEZING cold water! What fun is the ocean if you can't splash in it?

Hanging with Nana

Mason and I went down to visit Nana for the weekend. She lives next to a lake that is always full of hungry ducks. We brought some food for the duckies and climbed around on all of the rocks. We always have so much fun with Nana.
Mason was very interested in taking the pictures himself. He chased me around trying to get the camera from me. Nana has some great pictures of him, but it will be a LONG time before I get any of the shots so these will have to do :)
We were even nice enough to feed this duck. Apparently we were not feeding him fast enough so he hissed at us! When we ran out of bread we jumped up and ran :)

Aaargh!!!

I have been trying to update my blog for 45 minutes!!! I am having no luck with uploading my photos. I am going to walk away before I get too frustrated. I'll be back later ;-)

I know, its been a long time!

It has been a long month since I last updated our blog. We have been quite busy, but truthfully I have just been lazy about updating. I have been harassed on multiple occasions by a certain redhead ;-) to update this so here it goes. I hope she will be satisfied!

This collection of Mason/Maddie pictures make me so happy. I am very thankful that they are such good friends. I don't know what we would do without Jill and Maddie!

We took a trip to the El Dorado Nature Center and took a super long walk without strollers which meant that Jill and I ended up carrying our 25lb nature lovers for about 2 miles! I am glad that my suggestion of taking the 1/4 mile path versus the 2 mile dirt trail went unheard. LOL! I think maybe next time we will bring strollers. After our workout we went into the learning center and played with all of the fun exhibits. Mason is viewing the world through bug vision.
