Camping (if you can call it that) in Style!

Okay, so a lot of people will say this is not really camping - and I actually agree - but I'm okay with it! We'll definitely have to do the tent thing a few times in the summer so the boys don't get too soft! You've all heard our reasons for having a camp trailer (winter camping, camping with young kids, etc.) We had to tell everyone so we could justify it, but we still felt pretty wimpy getting this nice of a trailer. After camping in it, I'm okay with wimpy! We had a nice time together as a family, and we were clean and warm! It was better than a hotel!

We got to Capitol Reef late at night, and the campground was full, so we went to Boulder Top instead. It's a good thing Scott knows his way around so well! We pulled into this flat area some time after midnight, not having any idea what was around us! It turned out to be a great campsite - lots of room for the boys to ride bikes, a meadow for the dogs to run in, and a beautiful view.

We woke up to snow!

It was really as cold as it looks!

Mason is getting warm on the heater!

Corbin took this picture. Too bad it turned out blurry, it would have been a great one!

Mason took this picture, but he kept moving the camera so we had to keep jumping around to get in the picture!

Nothing like a nice warm bath and a movie when it's cold outside!

We entertained ourselves on the drive home by making videos and asking each other questions.

It's actually a pretty catchy song, lol! I keep finding myself singing it!

I just figured out what he was saying in his song: "We're driving on a train track, and there's an elk on the train track, and it's going to run over it, and we'll have to chop it up..." Kind of morbid - I have no idea where he got that from, but I'm sure a psychiatrist would have a hay day!"

Here are some of the questions we came up with:

Q: What was your favorite thing we did camping:

Corbin: "Finding where that elk foot came from (that Belle had) and riding my bike in the snow."

Mason: "There was cow poop there!"

Mom: "Going on a long bike ride with the boys."

Dad: "Seeing the snow on the trees."

Q: Where to rabbits go when it rains?

Corbin: "There are caves in the ground that have tunnels in them, and they go down in those tunnels."

Mason: "Somebody shot a hole in the ground and they went down in there."

Q: What do you think is in the semi truck driving in front of us?

Corbin: "Maybe Albertsons sold all their lobsters and it's bringing them a whole bunch more of them. Or if it says Walgreens on it, it's probably full of Travis Pastrana motorcycles....does it say Walgreens on it?"

Mason: "Frogs, motorcylces, and four wheelers." (A couple of days later we passed a semi truck on the road and Mason got excited and said, "Mom, there's the lobster truck!)
