FIRE TRUCK DADDY!
We had a fire truck parade here in town. Ike thought he was going to the park to see them like we did last time. I'm not sure which he enjoyed more but he loves his trucks!
Big boy now!
Ike is a big boy and our house is one step closer to diaper free. I did my usual routine of candy after actually going on the toliet, but what did the most significant trick...a helicopter. It made him interested in learning how to be potty trained. The first day he stayed completely dry, we gave him the helicopter. After an accident he turned it in until he could remember to go on the toliet. After two weeks, he is awesome. He still has accidents when he gets to busy. It will come. One major joy...he caught on to #2 in the toliet. No accidents there!!
My favorite part when he has to go, he yells, "I have to TWINKLE!!"
Cruisin with a friend
Zoe is our neighbor. Both of these to kiddos are the youngest of their family. They are about 4 months apart. They are best friends. Once a week they play together. Either Ike goes to Zoe's house or she comes to ours. Both mothers of these kids feel they need practice sharing their toys. On the first visit a few weeks ago, Ike gave Zoe a ride. She loved it and they spent most of their time cruising around the back yard. Ike tried to talk Zoe into helping him load up rocks and sticks in the back. She wasn't having any of it.
She wanted a turn and Ike relunctantly took the passenger side. She was content at pretending to drive, but Ike wanted to be in motion. It was so cute to watch him try and teach her. He tried to get up in her face, he pointed out the pedal, and in the end pushed it himself.
