out for a walk and yummy halloween food

Yesterday the boys and I decided we needed to get out of the house. We went for a walk a little ways up the canyon. It was a beautiful day! I do actually love fall, I just hate knowing what follows it!
We found some long sticks and knocked some apples out of one of the trees. Yum! Camden is obsessed with the fruit lately, which is probably a good thing to add to the long list of candy obsessions :)

While Camden and Casen were screaming, Keagan and Kaiden went and laid down on the grass and just stared at the sky so peacefully. It was so cute!

Keagan kept holding his pointer finger to his thumb and saying, "we need to have peace." I wish he understood this concept more often at home.
On our way home I got to witness one of those cute moments that make you smile. The boys kept saying, "lets do the arm thing again." I love having boys! (most of the time) :)

I hate making menus, (angie, this is pronounced men-yous not mean-us ha ha!) so since it is halloween week I have decided to let the pillsbury halloween cook book dictate what we eat. Ye Ha! The kids are having a blast and it takes no planning or creativity on my part. I love it, halloween is the best!
These are meatballs and string cheese eyeballs, yum!

Witches broomsticks (breadsticks) and sauce
( Ps, these are different things we ate throughout the day, not all in one meal)

Sloppy Joes with corn on flatbread. I have to admit that I had too much fun cutting out faces. Really you're supposed to let the kids do that part. (the recipe uses biscuit dough, it would be much faster, but we didn't have any)
Keagan was so excited to have learned gymnastics in PE today. The other boys had to show off that they had the mad skills too.

My littlest man in the tub (kitchen sink). I couldn't resist. I love him, his serious expressions, and his cheeks!!

Fall catch up post-o-rama

a couple weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to the Step Out for diabetes walk that my incredible friend Tara was in charge of. It was awesome! (although we didn't exactly walk it). We got to spend the day at the zoo with our wonderful friends the Demke's and Margaret. Tara had tonz of fun stuff going on and we all had a blast!
The boys with Cosmo, don't worry that they are both wearing U of U t-shirts! It is obvious that daddy dressed them!

Finish line! Yeah! There were cheerleaders, bells, and lots of people cheering on the walkers as they finished. Next was live entertainment, lots of health booths, and free lunch!

We had to take a break from packing (I was seriously loosing my mind!!!) and head over to cornbellys. So much fun! The kids always love it and it was surprisingly warm this year, yea!

Keagan proudly announced that this year he isn't afraid of the creature anymore, he didn't want to go in, but not because he was afraid, right :)

cute little lady

Kelly's hog. He is so tough right?!

almost all my boys

I had the wonderful opportunity to take my kids and nieces and nephew to meet the friends at the pumpkin patch last week. Oh so much fun with kids ages 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 6 weeks! Party on! Good thing I only lost Camden for a little while right?

My little animals in the corn maze

Summer, William, Janet, Heather, Lisa, Janei'a, JesseAnn, Me, and Casen

My chunky little smiler! He went to the dr. this week for a 6 week check up and weighed in at 11lbs 11oz and 23 1/4 in. long. He has come a long way since leaving the hospital at 6lbs 4oz!! Go cheeks!

Our grouchy little pumpkin patch kids! Reesa, Casen and Hayleigh (not so grouchy)

I couldn't help but laugh when I looked back on the way home and saw all the beautiful sleepers! They were all great, but sleeping kids are oh so wonderful! (ps, ethan was buckled up despite appearances, he is a dang tall 5 year old!)

Thursday night I got to join my mom and sister at the quick kutz retreat at the Mariott. I went to a really cute card class. We had to capture the moment of Casen's first crop night! Kelly is so proud!

Me and my momma. After the class we went back to the hotel room and looked at all the fun stuff we got from quick kutz. It was so much fun to hang out with mom and lori!

Lori and I looking oh so hot!

Once again, Lori and I looking oh so hot! This is just before her ward Halloween party Saturday. We both dressed up as bridesmaids. Don't worry that the beautiful dress lori is wearing was a dress from my parent's wedding! Yikes, I wish you could grasp the highlighter pink color that the dress really is!! The apron has little velvety cherubs on it--they were married on Valentines day in 1975 if that explains it. I am sporting a beautiful dress that my mom wore in someone else's wedding. She was a good friend :)

the cousins as they were about to go in the cardboard box maze. Who needs corn stalks and David Archuleta's face??

My cute little Dragon eating what he eats best! SUGAR!!

My parent's had a Primerica Halloween party Sat. and I LOVE their costumes!! Rondo and Ronda the Wal Mart greeters, so HOT!

Blasted snowy day and Buster

Saturday morning we were eating breakfast when all of a sudden Kaiden's eyes got huge. He was looking past me and said, "I want that!! Mom, I ordered that!!" I turned around and much to my dismay, there was snow! YUCK! The kids were utterly delighted! We quickly got the boys dressed and out they went. It may as well have been Christmas. They were SO happy!

A frozen footprint, what could be better?

This is Pogoo the snowman. Keagan was beyond frustrated that he couldn't get his nose and eyes in the way he wanted. Isn't he a cutie!??

Casen and I stayed inside were it was nice and warm. No snow for us!

Last night Grandpa called the boys up the stairs and told them to come see his new friend. He made it sound like it was some live creature and the boys were very apprehensive to even go into the family room to see. Once we convinced them that it was safe, and they got a peek of what was in there, they ran full speed ahead and tackled poor Buster. Grandma eventually had to pull Buster to safety as the boys almost tore him to shreds! Even though he is just a stuffed dog, he has the sweetest huge face ever!!
