Four Seasons Las Vegas

I told you I'd be back .. and with a fun but likely too-long post. That's how I roll ~ belated and long-winded :)

We just got back from the greatest weekend in Vegas!!! Let me just say off the bat ... we love the Vegas. It is such a fun city and there is so much to do that isn't scandalous ... a weekend there is about perfect (we would be too poor if we stayed longer than that!).

So, when we found out that our TN friends Jordan and Ryan would be there for the weekend, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Why were they there, you ask? Oh, no big deal ... Jordan just got a new gig playing bass for country artist Billy Currington so they were in for the ACM Awards.

So we found a cheap hotel room on a third-party website, dropped Elliott off at our AMAZING friends' house (thank you again!) for the weekend and hit the road.

After a quick stop at the outlets (no doy) we arrived on Saturday afternoon, ready to drop our stuff quickly and head to the pool. Our hotel room ended up being at the Four Seasons which occupies the top few floors of Mandalay Bay ... needless to say, we were feeling pretty excited at having paid cheapo for staying at such a nice resort. So we checked in and they casually mentioned that we had been upgraded to a suite ... how great, especially considering how much we didn't pay for the room. I assumed that we might get an extra little chair or maybe a couch. I also asked for a mini-fridge to be brought up to our room that I thought we might need.

So off we go to our room ... up the escalator ... insert the key ... and this is our view:

Archways? This must be the hallway to our room. We walk a little further and realize that we are actually IN our room ... suite is an understatement! It's a good thing that the bellboy was a couple of minutes behind us with our bags because I may or may not have started jumping and screaming!

So, yes, we got the SICKEST upgrade of all time to a Deluxe Suite. Here's the floor plan, in case you were wondering ... about 2200 sq. ft. which is officially 3x the size of our house!:

Our pics don't really do it justice, so here is the official website image:

And our point-and-shoot snapshots:

Not too shabby, eh?

Needless to say, we LOVED staying at the Four Seasons. The staff was amazing, our room was amazing, and the pools were so nice. As we laid out we had services such as an Evian spritz, frozen melon balls, a "sunglass butler" to clean our glasses, etc ... it was ridiculous!

When we checked out, we asked how to get the same upgrade next time we were in town. The guy smiled and checked to see which room we were in, and told us that it typically goes for ... wait for it ... $2500/night!!!!

So even though we technically lost money in the casinos, we WON a $5000 upgrade on our hotel so really we are coming out on top!!

So since the hotel has gotten its own post, I'll have to save all the other fun for another one! Check back soon!

Cheater

I have a confession: I've been cheating on you.

That's right ... I've been blogging elsewhere. We decided to start a separate, private blog for our little E-man. We just decided it felt a little too risky to have 1 million photos of him out in the public here.

However, there are 1 million photos of him on his own blog. Seriously. It's really over the top and ridiculous. Keep in mind that our target audience is grandparents and aunts and uncles, who are the only ones who could possibly be as interested in him as we are. It's really over the top ... posts like "Today Elliott blinked and here's a photo of it".

So if you are still interested after knowing how trite it may seem to anyone who isn't related by blood, we are happy to share the address with you if we actually know you (sorry random blog-hoppers).

Send me an email or fb message if you'd like to know.

In the meantime, I do still intend on blogging about our lives here in a more general sense. Lots to catch up on ... holidays, a month in TN, etc. as soon as I have time to sort out the photos!

2 Month Photo

Well ... it's been a crazy few weeks. We just got home to CA from spending about a month in Nashville, hence the lack of blogging. We were there for E's 2-month birthday, but took his photo with Chomps the night we got home! He is growing!

Elliott and Taylor

We've been spending some time in Nashville and Elliott has had so much fun playing with his cousin Taylor! She is such a fun and happy baby!

They are just about 2.5 months apart from each other so it will be so fun to grow up having a cousin the same age! We've had so much fun watching them together!

1 Month Photo

So, clearly I've been taking a little sabbatical through these first few weeks of adjusting to Elliott and through the holidays. No worries ... I'll be back soon!

In the meantime, Elliott had his 1 month birthday on Christmas Eve! He is growing!
