Splash Day

Last year I was all about getting the kiddie pool out since it was too hard to go out with the minis. This year we love going to a splash pad instead. The minis are so much easier than last summer!

We love going to the Veteran's pool with my family every summer. It has become an annual outing and we plan it when Katie and Charlie are in town. We chose it over Seven Peaks because there is a good variety and short lines and you can't beat the price.

Everyone is growing up so fast!

We had street tacos at Ali's afterward.

They got to try out her swing set.

We have been going and going since we've had family in town and trying to take advantage of the time. The next day I took Kaden shopping with me. He's growing out of naps so I made a deal with him. If he is has good behavior than he doesn't have to take a nap. He was good all morning and told me he didn't need a nap. Yep, I'm pretty sure he's worn out from playing non stop with cousins.

Pioneer Day Boating

We celebrated Pioneer Day on Monday at Jordanelle. We all took turns going out on the boat.

Those on shore played in the sand and went kayaking.

It was the best day! It is so fun having Katie and Charlie in town! The minis went on a tube ride and loved riding on the boat. They also played in the sand. They were very happy considering they didn't get a nap.

Pool Party of the Year

We had a boys night at our house and had Taylor and Drew sleep over. It was a lot of fun for Kaden and James. Saturday morning James had soccer so then after we stopped for donuts.

The same night Lynnlee got to have sleep over with the girls at Ali's house. Ali gave them cute hair dos while they watched Katelyn's soccer game.

That night was the big pool party at Aunt Kathy's. Although my dad's side of the family doesn't have an organized family reunion, I think this is pretty much that. Most of my aunts and uncles were there and most of my cousins. It was awesome!

The kids swam for four hours. They would have kept going so we had to practically drag them out of the pool at 9:00.

The minis loved the water and when they needed a break they hung out with aunt Pat.

There are about sixty people in this picture. Great party!

The kids were lined up for the diving board all night. They were so silly and entertaining.

Heber City Canal

In all my years of living in Heber I have never floated the canal. This summer I have been trying to do things I've always wanted to do. Why keep putting things off? So Ali, Marshall and I took the kids and floated the canal. We liked it so much that after we finished we went back to the top and floated down again. This is going to be a new annual summer activity. The water was very cold but it felt so good on a hot day.

Candy Stand

Every kids wants to have a candy stand. Since my house doesn't have a great location for one we always wait and do it at Grandma Ruth's. We planned one while Katie's family were in town. Ali came up for the day so it was a cousins' candy stand. They were out for a few hours and sold baked goods, candy and pink lemonade. The older cousins were a huge help to the younger ones.

Miriel and James are two weeks apart in age. Miriel definitely got her dad's genes for height.

The minis spent some time outside after their naps. Katie's girls love the minis and had to much fun helping them and playing with them.

Classic Fun

My mom watched Kasey's kids while they were in Europe. So we met up with them one day at the Classic Fun Center. It was my kid's first time and I haven't been since I was a kid. The skating hasn't changed a bit but the new attached fun center is new and really fun! We spent a few hours skating, playing and eating some lunch.
