We look forward to the fair in Heber every summer. It's a chance to go on carnival rides, see a parade and play with cousins. Katie's family and Charlie's family were in town so it was so much fun to have the cousins together. We went to the carnival Thursday and the parade on Saturday.
The weather was very hot for the carnival and I think we all drank a few water bottles each. The kids went on all the rides over and over.
The potato sack slide was probably the favorite for all of the kids.
We played at the park in Heber before the parade started. It is a fun park and I love the turf instead of gravel or wood chips.
The minis were happy in the swing for about an hour. James also provided entertainment for them while they were swinging.
I had to work so I didn't get to stay for the parade. I was so bummed and tried to get it off but it just didn't work out. Ali took these awesome pictures and I heard they all had a good time. Lynnlee loved all of the cheerleaders she saw in the parade. A few days later she told me she wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up.

Temp Sewing Desk
The sewing machine rarely comes out pretty much since I had the minis. James really wanted me to fix his ninja mask the other day. I was going to sew it by hand just so I wouldn't have to get the sewing machine out but I knew the sewing machine would be so much faster. So then I just decided to put it on my bathroom counter and get the job done and then put it back away. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
Sisters
I can't get enough of these two. We had family pictures a few weeks ago with my whole family and Marshall took this during all the craziness. I'm love these two so much. I know how much I love all of my sisters so I'm grateful they have each other.
Weekly Minis
The minis are 13 months old now. Sienna is walking and saying a few words. She is smiley and social. You can tell from the picture. She is a night owl.
Taggart is more reserved and chill. He loves cars and pushing them around the kitchen floor. He likes playing catch even though he can't catch it but he smiles really big when you through a ball into his arms. He loves watching Sienna walk but he could care less to do it himself. Whenever we stand him up he gets spaghetti legs and crawls away.
The minis must be going through growth spurts because they have had big appetites lately and it's hard to fill them up. They are done with bottles and onto sippy cups. Now I just need to take the pacifiers away but I'm not ready for that yet. Church and car rides are hard and sometimes the pacifier is the only thing that helps.
It's been fun to watch these two interact with each other. They are yolked together and like to copy each other. They like swimming and they like being outside.

Candy Shack
James and Lynnlee have wanted to do a lemonade stand all summer. Since my neighborhood isn't the best with not a lot of through traffic, I told them we could do one at Grandma Ruth's. We decided it would be fun to do it while Katie's family was in town. Katie's kids were so great to help them out. We kept it simple by buying some candy and capri suns. They also made some beaded crafts to sell. They had a really fun time and earned a few dollars to spend at the fair.

Making Butter
My kids have been going to a class at the library twice a week all summer. They made butter there for Pioneer Day and they also brought home the recipe to make it. They really wanted to make it again. So I bought heavy cream and worried that once we got started I would be the one doing all the work. They only lasted about one minute for the first step which was shaking the cream in a bottles for fifteen minutes. So I shook the bottles for the rest of the time. Then they pleasantly surprised me and finished making it from there by themselves. It was tasty butter but I'm glad I'm not a pioneer. It would be hard to find time to make butter every time we need it.
Blue Lemon
I really, really love spending time with my family and especially love girls' nights. Katie's and Charlie's families came to town and so we had a girls' night and went out to Blue Lemon. Yum! We were only missing Andrea.
We had so much fun visiting a lot and laughing. Then we walked around Scheels since it was next door. There was also a Rita's next to it so of course we had to go there to finish off the night. It was a nice evening. Thanks Marshall for holding down the fort so I could go!

Pioneer Day '15
We celebrated Pioneer Day by going to the lake with my family. We had a spot on the beach for the minis to play. Then we traded off who got to go on the boat and who stayed back with the minis. Thanks to my mom for hanging out with the minis on the beach so we could go out on the boat. They are too wiggly to keep them happy on the boat.
We went out on the tube and everyone was cold after even though it was a hot day.
My favorite part of the day was going to a quiet part of the lake and swimming. We jumped, dived and flipped off the boat.
Then we spent the rest of the time on the beach. The minis liked the sand a little too much and tried eating it. After lunch they were better to sit and play in it instead of eating it.
Sienna crawled up into the camping chair all by herself. She was so proud of herself.
The day was cut short because I had to work. Marshall took the kids home and they were all in bed before the fireworks started. It was a little different ending to the holiday than most years. I'm happy we at least got to make the most out it during the day.
