Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2009 was filled with family, food, and fun. We started out the weekend before Christmas with the Call and the Venable parties. It was fun to see everyone. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures, but we were there. Honest.

On Christmas Eve, we went to eat at Iggy's and then went to see Avatar. It was a great show and we highly recommend it, but it would really be best to see it in 3-D. We didn't but wish that we had.

Christmas Day was packed full of fun. We ate quiche, fruit, ham, and cinammon rolls. We awarded the "Guess the Candy" jar to the person that guessed the number of candy. Kambri won with her excellent guess of 223. Perfect guess! We opened presents. We watched Karlee & Nate's cruise pictures and their ultrasound dvd. We had our annual cookie decorating contest. We played guitar hero. Lots of fun things. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2009 was tons of fun, and as busy as ever. We started the day out with dinner with the Call's. We had a pretty good turnout and it was fun to catch up with everyone. Lots of good food, fun, and conversation. Unfortunately we forgot our camera, so we don't have pictures.

Next up was pie at the Venable's. Lots of yummy pie and conversation also. This time we remembered to bring the camera, but left it in the car. Duh....

Last, but definitely not least, was the Pinata Party at our house. I must confess that this years pinata was not the best. In fact, I can honestly say it was the worst. By far. The poor little turkey was both ugly and weak. It was totally destroyed after only 2 hits by each of the kids. I realized that while they love to hit the pinata, the main objective is to get the candy. So I guess you could say it was a success. (And politically correct!) Fortunately we DID get some pictures, so here are a few. Please don't judge the turkey :)

Happy Birthday Karlee!

June 4th was Karlee's birthday, so we got together, ate chicken enchiladas and lemon bars, opened presents, and took pictures of the birthday girl. Karlee, you know how much we love you, right? There were some really cute pictures of you, and then, well, some that were not so flattering. I just had to share......
