Gracie and Abby were part of the choir at school.  They practiced every Thursday for 3.5 months.  They really did an awesome job and I loved listening to their sweet voices.  They  got to perform at RC Willey, Boom Town and an assisted living facility in the area.  Bonus: they were able to stay and ride the rides and play games at Boom Town afterwards!  With the snowstorm drive home it was a night to remember.

Thanksgiving and Candy Turkeys

This is the only picture I got from Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed a quiet, traditional Thanksgiving.  Took the girls to see FROZEN-super cute movie!! We made candy turkeys that are a tradition in my family started by my Grandma Rushton in her 3rd grade classroom.   I think she would be so happy that we are carrying it on for her.  I tell the girls a little about their Great Grandma Rushton whom they nor I ever met.  I can imagine that she would have loved to be with her great granddaughters making candy turkeys!

Honor Choir

Bryanna made honor choir this year and we were so excited for her!  Her performance was at The Nuggett in Reno.  They did awesome and she looked so pretty. We enjoyed watching all the honor choirs that night.  I'm so glad that our girls love music.

Lattin Farms

Our traditional pumpkin patch trip to Lattin Farms.  We came on a weekday so it was pretty slow but we still got a hay ride to pick out our pumpkins.
In search of the best pumpkin ever.
They're still young enough to ride the cow/horse train.

Nature Drive

 Donner Lake
 Truckee River

Mom in the photo...at least I'm not showing my grumpy face

Donner Party Pioneer Monument

We were planning to go see the Salmon Spawning at Taylor Creek but decided not to drive over an hour for that so we took a little fall nature drive up the 80, along the Truckee River to Donner Lake.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the girls had a great time finding rocks for their collections and helping me take pictures of the pretty trees and water. I love nature.  I am grateful for parents who love nature and always pointed it out to us growing up.  I am thankful to share my love with my girls.
