Pool Night

The other day for our Family Home Evening activity we went swimming in our pool with some friends. Vanessa loves swimming and had so much fun. She likes to jump into the pool while saying "one, two." She is a little dare devil when it comes to water. It is so fun watching her play!

Cakes I made in May

Mark's birthday was on the 12th so I made him an awesome Lego cake. He loved playing with them when he was little so I thought I would bring back some memories. It was really fun making it. I think the next time I make a Lego cake I will use fondant rather than buttercream icing. It would be easier.

Amanda asked me to make a cake for her friend's birthday. This was going to be an interesting challenge but fun. She wanted a cake with Hugh Jackman on it. I gave it a try and this is how it turned out. I think it turned out great! Thank you Kimberly for the quick drawing! I hope the birthday girl loves it as much as I do!

Staying Busy!

So, we only have 9 more days before we move! We have been busy packing most of our belongings in to boxes these last couple of days. Moving takes a lot of work and energy! Every morning I wake up and am so sore! I am very glad that we chose to move before the baby is born. It would have been to hard to pack things up with a newborn.

I am also busy making a cake today for a birthday. She wanted a cake with Hugh Jackman on it. I am excited to do it and can't wait to see how it turns out. Busy, busy, busy!!

This last weekend we spent with Mark's family. It was so fun to get to see everybody and to finally meet our little niece! She is such a doll. We have pictures but I haven't had time to put them on the computer. They will be up soon. It was fun being there for Aliyah's baby blessing. She was so cute in her little white dress. Anyway, I will post some picture when I have some more time!

Family Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we had our family pictures taken by a lady from our ward. They turned out great and it was so fun doing them. We went to the Logan River and got them done. I love them and am so glad that we were able to get some outside shots.

Vanessa had a photo shoot as well. She loved playing with the pink boa and I loved how they turned out. Also she looked so cute in her green outfit! It was so much fun watching her!

We are moving!!

So this last Friday, we decided that it was finally time to move. We are moving the first week in June to Mark's parent's basement for a couple of months. We are excited to be close to family and to be able to start looking for an apartment or a house. I am saddened by this sudden decision because I have grown to love Logan. It has been our home since we got married and Vanessa was born here. It has been a great place to live and we have made many wonderful lifelong friends while here. I will miss them so much! I guess it is bittersweet. I have a hard time with change and moving is very stressful on me! Oh well, it is sad now but I know I will be happy with the change when all the moving is over. Wish us luck!

Mommy's Little Princess

I know it is a little late but I thought I should write a little something to celebrate Mother's Day! I had a wonderful Mother's Day. In church, the Elder's quorum and primary children went up and sang a few songs. Mark took Vanessa up and sang. It was so cute and touching watching them. When we got home from church, Mark and Vanessa fixed me a lovely lunch and gave me some great gifts. We then headed down to Syracuse and spent the time with Mark's family. It is always so much fun visiting them.

I am so grateful to be a mother! I love every minute of it! Vanessa has been such a joy to have in my life. Her sweet and loving spirit always amazes me. I feel so blessed to have gotten her! I am also so excited to have our little boy! I can't wait for all the adventures!

I also am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother who has taught me so much about life and the gospel. She has been a great example to me. My grandmothers have also been huge examples and I hope I can measure up to them when I get to be their age. I am also blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. She is such a great example to me of love and kindness. Thank you all for being such wonderful mothers and women and for influencing my life for the better! I have truly been blessed! I love and appreciate all that you do!

PB&J Sandwich

Vanessa has discovered a new way to eat her PB&J sandwiches. She nibbles little holes all through out the bread! It is so funny watching her do it. Silly Vanessa!!

Picnic!!

The other day we finally had warm enough weather to go outside and have a picnic! We really enjoyed the sunshine and Vanessa had fun playing on the hills and running around.

Happy Birthday Mark!

Today, May 12, is my dear husband's 26th birthday! I just wanted to wish him a very happy birthday! I am so glad that he is my husband. He is such a wonderful person who I love so much. He is truly my best friend and I am so grateful to be able to be married to him. He also is such an awesome dad to Vanessa. She loves her daddy so much and loves playing with him! Happy Birthday! We hope that you have a great day! We love you sooooooooo much!!!

Life is So Precious!

On Monday, a little boy in my ward was hit and killed by a car. It was such a tragic accident and the whole ward is saddened by the loss of such a sweet little boy. I taught his big sister in primary last year and this year I am teaching his little brother, so I know the family pretty well.
I attended the funeral today. It was sad to attend the funeral of someone so little but I came away being with a stronger testimony of the gospel. I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation and for all that I know. I am grateful for temples and that we can be sealed to our families for all eternity. What great comfort that brings to my soul to know this.
A lesson that I learned is that life is so precious and is a gift that Heavenly Father has given us so we need to make the very best of it. We don't know when it is our time to be taken home so we need live the best, today!
My heart and prayers goes out to the Larsen family at this time.

Baby Update

On Monday, I had another doctor's appointment. My doctor was way behind because she had delivered four babies that day so I had to wait while. I really hate waiting at the doctors office. Anyway, I finally got in to see her and very thing looks good. The baby is continuing to grow at a good pace and I passed the glucose test with flying colors! I got to hear his little heart beat which I always love to hear! I start my series of 3 week check ups and then it is down to the 2 week ones. We are in the homefront! This pregnancy has seemed to go by much faster then with Vanessa. I am grateful for that. I can't wait to have my body back. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind being pregnant but it will sure be nice not having a huge belly and 20 extra pounds to carry around.

Utah State Graduation

Both Mark and I's families were able to come up for our graduation. It was fun having them all there to help us celebrate this great achievement. It was a long but exciting day for the both of us. It feels so good to be done with school. We are so excited to be able to move on to the next phase in our lives!
