Red Hats!!

Yesterday, Vanessa was pulling out all of my baking pans and playing with them. She has just recently started saying "hat" and associating it with anything that is put on the head. So she found my red Rubberware set and put the bread pan on her head and walked around the house saying "hat, hat!" It was so darn cute! She then proceeded to put some on my head. We had a lot of fun wearing our "Red Hats!"

Digital Scrapbooking!

So, my friend RoShawn introduced me to the world of digital scrapbooking! Let me tell you that it is awesome! It is so fun and easy to do! I love that I don't have to drag out all of my supplies to make a page. Easy clean up and far less expensive than traditional scrapbooking. You can make some pretty awesome pages for free with all of the free supplies out there on the internet. I am just getting started but I know this is going to help me catch up on Vanessa's scrapbook and all the other projects that I need to get done. Here is one page I just made today for Vanessa's first birthday. I know, I am very far behind but I hope to catch up once I finish school.

23 weeks and 4 days!

As you can see, my belly is growing bigger everyday. I can feel our baby boy moving much more lately. He likes to move and kick right at bedtime so he keeps me awake at night. I guess giving me some practice for when he gets here! I have to protest though because I love my sleep! We are getting more and more excited to finally meet our little guy!

Our Little Computer Nerd

She must get that from her dad! She finds it very amusing to push all the buttons on the laptop. Mark has taught her well.

Living Planet Aquarium

Our Family at the Aquarium

These fish were incredibly huge! They were as big as Vanessa!

Vanessa loved pointing at all of the fish and saying "Fish."

That is one big lobster! I would not want to be pinched by that!

On Friday of our spring break, we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. We got to see a lot of fun sea creatures and Vanessa had a lot of fun looking at all of the fish. After that, we went to the Mayan Restaurant and had a great meal while watching cliff divers dive in to the pool. It was so cool!
It was a long day because after eating, we went to my Snow College roommate, Whitney's, wedding reception. Then we went and spent the weekend in Delta with my family. It has been a fun and adventurous spring break for us. I wish it did not have to end but I guess I have graduation to look forward to.

Giddy Up, Cowgirl!

While Mark was getting ready to paint our bedroom, Vanessa found his hat and put it on. She is one cute little cowgirl, don't you think?

Spring Break Snowstorm!

Mmmm...snow!!

During our Spring Break, we had a huge snow storm. We got close to 2 feet of snow in 2 days! We decided to take advantage of the snow and go sledding. We have a little hill just right by our house that we went sledding down. This was Vanessa's first time sledding and she loved it! She kept saying "More, More," so we would take her down again. At the end of the day, we pulled her around in the sled. She did not know how to really hold on so she kept falling backwards. She sure does love to play in the snow!

Building Towers!

Vanessa likes to build tall towers with her dad. She is very good at putting them together. We have a lot of fun designing unique towers.

Practicing her writing skills

Vanessa loves to color and draw. She is starting to hold the pencils in her hand the correct way. It is so fun to watch her learn new things.

Spring Dresses!

I am so excited for Spring to come. I came across some really cute spring dresses for Vanessa and I could not resist! She looks so cute and grown up in her new dresses. Now we just have to wait until we have some warm weather to wear them again!

Santa Clause?

The other day, I was giving Vanessa a bath and she decided that she was going to stick her face in the water. When she sat up, she had a bubble beard that reminded me of Santa. She thought it was pretty funny so she kept doing it. Silly Vanessa!

Our favortie niece, Aliyah Kaye..

Well, our only niece! Mark and I are so excited to finally be an Aunt and Uncle! Michelle and Jeff welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world on March 13, 2009! We can't wait to finally meet her in May when they come and visit! Congrats Jeff and Michelle!

LIFE!

Sorry for not posting lately. Life has been quite busy for us. Mark and I are getting so excited to graduate. 5 more weeks left! May 2 is the big day!!! I actually just went and bought our tassels today at the Graduation fair. Mark's color is a light brown and mine in light blue. I think Mark is a little jealous that I got the blue. Oh well, I guess he should have picked Education rather than Business. No, I am glad that he picked Business.
School is keeping us both busy and so is taking care of the apartments. It will be nice when we are done so we can have some more time together as a family. I am working on posting more pictures of us so stay tuned.
