Christmas Tree Hunting

The day after Thanksgiving we went Christmas tree hunting. Our friends Josh and RoShawn let us come with them and get a tree on Josh's dad's property. It was fun trying to find the perfect tree. We finally found it and Mark cut it down. It was a fun trip full of fun memories.

Daddy's Shoes

Vanessa found her daddy's shoes. She likes to put on our shoes and walk around the house in them.

Gamer!

We were down visiting Mark's family and they have a little hand held game that Vanessa is fascinated with. She got really into it and just sprawled out on the couch and got comfortable.

Fall Fun

Vanessa likes to give dogs hugs.

Oh, so cute!

This was Vanessa's first time playing in a pile of leaves. She had a lot of fun!

What a cute family!

The Roberts had their dog, Tipie, at Grandma and Grandpa Carter's house and Vanessa had fun chasing her around. She loves dogs.

Trick or Treat

We had a lot of fun Trick or Treating. Vanessa didn't really know what was going on but she had fun walking up the street and knocking on the doors. She was so cute in her little costume.

Happy Halloween

For Halloween, Mark was a Prince, Sabrina was a Fairy Princess, and Vanessa was a Bumble Bee.

Pumpkin Carving

Vanessa's Frankenstein Pumpkin. She helped paint the pumpkin green.

Arrrrr... Sabrina's Pirate Pumpkin

Ahhh! Mark's Evil Eye Pumpkin

Vanessa posing for the camera

Giddy up!

Vanessa has found a new talent! She likes to climb on top of her lion and stand. She is becoming more daring each day! We decided that she likes to live on the edge.

Backside

Our friends, Josh and RoShawn came over to visit. They have a daughter, Anellina, who is about 2 months old. Vanessa and Anellina were both in their diapers and turned around. We thought it was a cute picture. Vanessa is so big compared to Anellina! Babies grow so fast!!!

Toy Basket

Vanessa likes to discover things. I found her in her toy basket playing with her toys. She couldn't reach one of her toys so she decided that she was going to crawl over the basket and get it. She didn't realize that she would get stuck. She was trying hard to get out but couldn't. Boy, she can really get herself in a pickle.

Making Cookies

Vanessa had fun helping Mom make "Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies." She liked to stick her hands in the dough and eat it. She also had fun licking the spoon. It was so fun watching her discover the dough and seeing her reaction.

WOW, she did get very messy and sticky!

Baby Wipes

Vanessa loves to get into the wipes and pull them all out. She also likes to suck on them. For what reason, I do not know. But she enjoys it. We found her like this in the front room. It was so funny that we could not get mad at her for doing it.

Pumpkin Walk

Today we went to the Pumpkin Walk here in Logan. People make fun scenes out of pumpkins and display them at a park. There were many cool ones. Our favorite was this Noah's Ark scene.

While there, Mark got attacked by Smokey the Bear!

We also took some fun pictures. Vanessa as The Little Mermaid, Mark as Yoda, and Sabrina posed as Cinderella.

Gamers

You can sure tell that Vanessa is Mark's daughter! She loves to sit and play the Nintendo DS with her dad. She actually gets really mad if you take it away from her! She likes to push the buttons and make things move. I took these pictures because I thought it looked so funny and cute. Vanessa really gets into her games.

Homecoming Week

This week, October 20-25, was Homecoming week for Utah State. Mark asked me to go to the Homecoming dance with him. He asked me by a taking me on a scavenger hunt through our house. It was really cute. The last dance we went to was the Snow College Sweetheart ball. That was the night Mark proposed to me. So it has been a long time. The dance was really fun. They had 3 different bands playing. We danced mostly with the Swing Band. We tried to remember all of our swing moves that we learned at Snow but it has been too long. It was still fun though. It was nice to go on date and especially dance together.

Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen came up to watch Vanessa while we went to the dance. It seemed unfair to leave her out so we took a picture with her. She didn't even realize that we were gone because she was having so much fun with her grandparents.

We are finally going to be a Uncle and an Aunt! Hooray, thanks to Michelle and Jeff! They found out on October 17 that they are having a baby girl! We are so excited for them. Girls are so much fun! Vanessa is going to love having a cousin that she can play with.

Hide and Seek

Vanessa loves to crawl around in small spaces. This is are little lamp table in our front room. She was having fun crawling though the spaces and sitting in there. She finds adventure in every thing! She keeps busy with all of her fun play ideas. Her personality is really starting to come out! She keeps surprising us everyday with something new and fun.
