Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween yall!  Do you want to see our costumes?

They were inspired by the movie Cowboys and Aliens. Doug persuaded everyone to be cowboys with him.

All I had to do was sew a couple of holsters and alter a few thrift store vests. I think they all look pretty sweet.

Happy Halloween!

Getting ready.

We carved pumpkins tonight. Thursday's are FHE for us.  Here are some action shots.

Doug is growing a beard for his costume tomorrow. Everyone is going be a cowboy/cowgirl.
He's making FHE dessert here. Vanilla pudding!

The final carvings...
Max. Luke. Jack. Mer.

In other news we put an offer on a house this week and it was accepted. If everything goes well we close on dec 31st. Just 1 week before the baby's due. :). Perfect timing right? Email me if you want a link to see the new place.
Happy Halloween!!!

The Jets came to town this weekend

The US Airforce Thunderbirds came to Melbourne this weekend for 2 airshows at our local airport.  We happen to live close enough to have them repeatedly fly over our house. They were practicing in the afternoon all week so we got to see them zoom over our house quite a bit. They were so loud but so awesome.

On Sunday in between Conference sessions we decided to drive over near the airport to get a closer look.
We saw them do all sorts of awesome tricks which you can't really see from our pictures but they were so cool that we won't forget them.

Bye for now

A lost tooth and a Birthday party

This post was started a couple of weeks ago. enjoy!

It has been raining and raining here.  It started the night of Doug's campout and it has hardly stopped. Everyone's soccer practices and games have been cancelled night after night, which is fine by me, and had been a nice little break. Yesterday the sun was finally out all day and my car had a chance to dry out all the way. After picking up all those soaking wet boys last Friday my car was soaked and super stinky. Like, I couldn't even drive with the windows closed, it was so bad. So glad to have it smelling a little better today.

Luke's has his first wiggly tooth! He has been wiggling it and wiggling it to try and get it out.  He makes sure I don't pack him ANYTHING crunchy in his lunch because he "just can't chew it" Last night Mer tried to pull it out with a piece of floss but it just kept slipping off.

Fastforward 1 week...

We had a couple of special occasions last week. First of all this little guy lost his first tooth.  To say he was excited would be an understatement.

He wiggled it for a week and thought for sure it would come out any day. Finally he let me pull it out when it was nice and ready. Bye Bye little baby tooth. He's still waiting for the new one to grow in.

And Secondly Jack had his birthday party the Saturday after his birthday.  We hosted another Minute to Win it party and he invited his favorite friends to come.  Jack had a really fun time with all his friends.  He requested shark cupcakes like Max had one year.

Thank goodness for easy parties. This one is probably the easiest party ever to throw and is really so much fun.  Here was our game line up for the record just in case it will come in handy for the future.

We added a few new games from last time, like the Elephant March

And Stack attack.

Hanky Panky was probably the most fun and craziest.

In between games they decided to play soccer for a while.

We also made T-shirts for the boys to compete in and take home

Fun times. It's so fun making my kids' birthday dreams come true. Happy Birthday Jack, Stay sweet please!
