Finally Fenced!!

Checking out her new freedom..

Two of my most favorite things in the world.

Taking one last jump in the field!! Click on this pic and you can see serious air!

Today my wonderful husband worked on fencing the backyard in!! We would have loved a vinyl privacy, however, since we are not rich, I am just happy to get the yard fenced. No more tying Allie out from the back door, she now has free roam in the yard. She also graduated to free roam of the house while we are away!!

She is still trying to find a way to her favorite place, the wheat field, oh well! We even played Frisbee and catch for the first time in our own yard! She was always distracted with field there.
Of course we will still play in the park, this is so much better.
With the new backdoor, deck and fenced yard, we finally have a backyard we can actually enjoy. Need to plant and do more in the back, that will take time. Hopefully we can get some warm weather, we did lose a few flowers in the greenhouse since it froze last night. That always is the chance we take living here. I did buy my wonderful hubby a meal and a shake from the diner!
Thank you Mark!!!! Love your grateful wife and Allie....

Back on the Oregon Trail

We took a few days and hit the road again to visit Summer, Trevor, Madi and baby Chase. As always we love to visit and Madi kept us going when Summer and Trevor left for a wedding. We had a blast playing with her until she wore herself out and fell asleep. Chase was very good and sweet, he hardly fussed at all. Madi loved having her picture taken and it was good practice for me with the camera. I think I sent Summer at least a hundred pictures to sort through. On Sunday we went to church for the baby blessing and had a luncheon afterward. We did get some sightseeing in on Saturday afternoon while the Heids went to the wedding reception. They took the kids and we headed west towards Astoria. We made it as far as Rainer and headed over the bridge to Washington. The towns were fun to travel through and we stopped at a harbor along the Columbia River to see the boats. Along there were floating houses which were quite cool I think. Mark said no way, the mosquitos will eat him, I thought it would be fun live there or anywhere along the river. We saw huge logging ships and logging mills along the way. We could see Mt. St Helens, Rainer and Hood, it was a beautiful afternoon to take a drive. On the Washington side we found a Tulip farm, the were some different ones we had never seen. We travelled on the freeway along Vancouver and back into Portland, only getting a lost a few times on the tour! We took a few minutes to drive through Baker, Oregon a very cute and historic town which I really liked, we could live there. Summer and Trevor thanks for your hospitality!!

It was good trip and we look forward to more travels, who knows where we will go next!!

The New Deck Is Done!!

We have always wanted a backdoor and a deck. It just made the backyard easier to access and the house never felt completed. Just need to move the BBQ and enjoy!
