2016 FB Nonsense and bullies

Wow I haven't blogged in a very long time! I'm sick of Facebook nonsense I see everyday. I ignore most of it, some of it is just annoying. People who believe their opinion of the world, politics, religion and so forth is gold and have no tolerance for other beliefs. It seems being behind a computer gives someone the right to berate another and post whatever they deem you should think.

I see so called quotes by famous people and most of the time they did not say that. I see political untruths particularity regarding those who are conservative. They call us extreme and intolerant, very interesting. It seems they are the ones that are intolerant. FB has become the medium to vocalize intolerance and bullying.

This world is bad enough without that, we should be more loving and more merciful to others. Posting untruths about ones faith is appalling. To many people believe what is written by someone who obviously is unhappy with that faith and takes it as absolute truth without consulting someone who is actually in that faith.

In effort not to fall into what I complain about, I decided to vent. I will not post junk, I will not post my politics though most know I'm very conservative. I will not post a slam against another faith, a person or a race. We are all Gods children and we should treat others as such. I will post my belief in God and will not allow anyone to slam that, doing so will get you unfriended.

That is my rant for the day! I fear it is going to get worse as the Presidential race heats up. It's nobody business who I vote for and if I vote for Trump, Carson, Rubio, Cruz, The property brothers, my dog........is my business, not yours.

I did it & Happy 2012.

It's true I always said I wouldn't cave into those fancy phones with the apps, the touch screen & Internet access.  I just needed a phone that received and places calls along with a few text messages.  A month before my contract ended I started the research into a new phone.  I haven't been happy with the cheap and free ones as the lack of clarity makes me sound like I'm hard of hearing.  Constantly repeating "say that again" gets old and many times the repeat is worse than the original comment.  With so many now getting the new fancy phones, the selection of cheaper ones became very limited, so why would I upgrade to something I might hate again.

I did look at the IPhone with all it's glory and all the reviews, I can't justify the expense of such a phone.  So I did go with something more my price.....a free Droid at Best Buy.  It has the Internet, you can bet I won't be posting on FB "At Walmart"  here is a picture of my shopping cart, nope won't happen.

If I see something worthy to take a picture of, I will share that.  One never knows what might be seen at Walmart!

Now that 2011 has ended, it's time for the year in review, a short one.  Here goes:

The Winter of 2011 resulted in frozen pipes, near hypothermia in the house and a high Propane bill.
A trip to Hawaii and Cancun left us feeling refreshed and warm with a lifetime of memories.
The Spring brought us new additions, Mini Donkeys and a goat (another goat later in the Summer), with all the play in the pasture to bond with them landed me a tick bite which resulted in Lyme Disease.....Ugh.  So far this Parasite hasn't got the best of me and nor will it, I refuse to be called a
"Lymie", something those with this call themselves.  I refuse to be defined by a tick borne illness, enough said.

Early Summer brought us the visit of Madi and then Kylan, what a great time that was.  It leaves me excited for Spring when they will return again to play and visit.

July brought another trip of a lifetime, it meant flying into Atlanta (which felt like a lifetime there after missing the connection to Indianapolis), once there I stayed with good friends Del and Linda Allen and we travelled to Niagara Falls in Canada to meet with Daily Puppy friends and what a blast that was.

Our House in Tremonton ended back up on the Market with no renters, that meant me going back to work. I did something I enjoy and know.....training dogs!  That has turned out to be a wise choice as the training as been endless here.  We did sell our house which was a stress reliever for us, I still work to bump back up our savings.

In December I lost my mom after a long battle with Strokes and Diabetes.  While I miss her and Dad does to, it was time as she had no quality of life.  I know we will all be together, as I know life continues after we pass through death.

Now it is 2012 and since adding a Pellet Stove, we are warmer, no chance of hypothermia!  Here's to 2012, may it bring good things for all my friends & family.  ♥♥♥♥

Blogging, that's all.

It has come to my attention of late that due to Facebook most of us who were once avid bloggers, no longer blog.  Instead of detailed expressions of our life and pictures, we now share what we are doing at that moment, whether it be "eating a bread stick at the Olive Garden" to "here is a picture of my bread stick"...we care about this because why?

I enjoy reading blogs of friends and family, most of who are on Facebook and very rarely blog.  What a interesting society of technology we live in.  We can instantly upload a picture of what we are doing and make our phones beep when someone on our top friends list posts, my phone does not. (Yes it is true, I do not carry the Internet on my Phone)  What I like about blogging is it's more from the heart, more about our life, our family and adventures.  We seem to have lost that sadly.

So while I have been guilty of the Facebook craze, I have tried of late not to be so hasty to post what I might be eating or doing at that very moment.  Facebook is great to stay connected, see pictures and keep up in a faster pace.  Blogging takes thought and takes time to post more deeper experiences.

So without further comment I will post a more deeper thought.  While I try to stay politically neutral on cyberspace, it is no secret that we are conservative and Latter Day Saints...aka...Mormons.  There as been discussion by certain politicians that Mormons are NOT Christians.  First our church is titled;

The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints, I capitalized for emphasis as not to be missed.

We believe of Christ, we talk of Christ, we follow Christ, we learn of Christ.  My own home has several pictures of Christ which hang in nearly everyroom.  It is by Christ we enter into our Fathers Kingdom once we leave this life, not by Joseph Smith like some think.  Joseph Smith was a prophet we honor, but do not worship as the other prophets who lead our church past and present.
We honor them, but do not worship them.

Jesus Christ is the center of our life and our church.  He is the Son of God, a separate being who we pray to through the name of his son Jesus Christ.  I know they exist, I know they are very real and I know there is more to learn in the next life.

So, just because there are two Latter Days Saints running for the office President, doesn't mean they will get my vote.  They to must show they are the best candidate for the office, they must be looked at as with any candidate for their politics, not their religion.  Until I see more debates, listen to more campaigning I will withhold my decision, heck, I'm sure won't post who I decide as that is my business.  The only thing I will post is, I will be thrilled if our current President gets voted out.  Yes, I am not a fan of him or his politics, has nothing to do with his race.  It is about his politics, I mention that as that falls into the realm of not voting or voting due to his religion.  The President's politics don't concur with my views, pure and simple.

Now that I have posted that, blogging is to be personal and I'm sure I won't post much about politics unless it attacks my faith and religion.  No this won't be on FB, so there.

FYI:  For the Libs who say they would never support a Mormon in a political office.....need to know what faith Harry Reid is.............Yup he is a Mormon, active one.

One last thing:  I just made Brownies and eating one, they are very good.  Sorry no pics!

The Kidlets and Canada!

Ice is now 18 months and still all puppy, he does amazing tricks and is very good at obedience, when there aren't other dogs around.  We added another donkey we named Cola who is due to foal in the Spring and a most adorable goat we named Scout.

Kim spent a weekend with her International Dog Club in Niagara Falls, Canada while Mark was great to take care of our little farm. That was a fun weekend! We had friends come from Canada as far away as BC, Calif, Vermont, West Virgina, Indiana and Michigan.

Our newest family members!

As most who know us, know we are animal lovers and having acquired some land again that means time to fill it up with some critters.  So in the style that I know, I started to network and do the research in the area.  It has always been my desire to have some mini critters, my own little petting zoo!  Soon to be arriving sometime in June, meet Banjo Jack, my Sicilian Donkey.  These are sweet and naturally gentle, very social.  I hope to add two eventually.

No that's not a mini donkey, it's a mini goat!
She is a cream Pygmy and here just a couple days old.

Caribbean Cruisin!

From the beautiful Hawaiian shores to the beautiful waters of the Mayan Rivera on the Caribbean Sea 10 days later.  Before anyone thinks we won the lottery, sorry to disappoint you, we did not.  However, if we did I would be typing this from another warm tropical paradise, Aztec NM is no tropical paradise.Someone turn the heater on here....please.
Mark earned the trip from long hard hours at work from his company.  Isn't he wonderful!!  We spent 4 full days in a 5 Star Resort south of Cancun nearer to Playa Del Carmen.  What a life, I could get use to that...easily.
So here are the pictorial highlights of our trip, it was very pretty there.  High 70's with 80-90% percent humidity which I could do without, good food, good friends and fun excursions.  The snorkeling was the best! I still have to develop the pics in my underwater camera and get those scanned in.

                                                         I get the bed nearest
                                                         to the veranda

The rainshower was the best!

Hawaiian Holidays

Aw after living in the "bread box", moving, a bitter winter, frozen pipes, below zero temps we took a jet plane to the Tropical Paradise aka Hawaii.  The first thing noticed besides all the green was the warm trade winds and light humidity.  I immediately noticed my cough disappeared, imagine that.  Mark was a little disappointed that there wasn't a hula girl to meet him and give him a flower lei.  I bursted his fantasy by telling him that they don't do that anymore, you know a thing called security and money. My favorite was the snorkeling, that was fun.  The fish were beautiful and the water warm.  We will return again, next time Maui and the Big Island.

 This is our picture highlights:
                                                         Were Here!!!
