Bengals win! [LCOM sketch challenge #43].

This is a great sketch we have for the challenge this week! I love the clusters of embellishments and you could use whatever you wanted to embellish! I didn't use the flourishes or the buttons; I used tags, stickers, and feathers. Here was the sketch:
 Here's my layout:
I included my ticket stub on my page - this was such an amazing game. We drove to the game in Cincinnati after our weekend in Ft Wayne for the Gary concert. We got stuck in traffic right outside of Cincinnati and missed opening kick off. The game was full of ups and downs, mistakes, fumbles, a concussion, interceptions and sacks, etc. Cincinnati ended up winning 34-30. The crowd was unlike anything I've ever experienced at Paul Brown Stadium. It was a super exciting game, we sat around fun people, and I scored sixth row seats on the Bengals side from eBay for about $170/each.

I have so much going on with this page. The background paper is Glitz Finnley. To add interest to the orange cardstock, I used a Studio Calico mask + sherbet Mistery Huey and I used the Glitz roller from the Raven collection (triangles, so versatile!) with orange pigment ink from American Crafts. The other stamps are by Studio Calico and I used Staz On in jet black.

Most of my embellishments are older, from my stash. I inked the Pink Paislee chipboard heart with the same orange American Crafts pigment ink. The stickers are from Basic Grey Carte Postale collection. The gold stars are Freckled Fawn. The feather die cuts are Studio Calico. The black pearls are Kaiser. The gold glitter foam Thickers are Dear Lizzy.

you&me.

My cousin is getting married today. This is one of the photos from her engagement photo shoot.

I used the Paper Secrets Oct 15 sketch with a twist. Everything is from my October Studio Calico kits + the Jenni Bowlin letter stickers + an older SC stamp set.

high schoolers.

I was inspired by the Oct 1 Stuck?! sketch + the Red Carpet Studio challenge to use metal on your layout. These are my little cousins on back to school day - all in high school now.I used my October Studio Calico kits for this page.
Not from the kits: white cardstock, stamp set (My Mind's Eye Stella Rose), date stamp (Amy Tangerine), label stickers (MME & Jillibean Soup), Thickers, washi, orange pigment ink by American Crafts.

feeding the Carp|Whimsical Twist 'tic tac toe' challenge

Are you ready for the next challenge from Whimsical Twist? We made a tic tac toe board and are challenging you to choose which items you want to include on your project! Here's the board:

Here's my page. I chose a diagonal with the washi, enamel dots, and Thickers/alpha stickers.
You can visit the WT blog to see some other pages from DT members & to see all the rules for the contest. You have until Oct 25 to link up your entries HERE.

These patterned papers are from the Finnley collection by Glitz Design. I love the greens and browns on this page with such a nature-y photo. It's an Instagram photo from this summer at the lake. There's a lot of Glitz on this page - the roller doodle is from the Raven collection and the washi is from the Color Me Happy Collection.

I used two Studio Calico stamp sets. The brown ink is walnut stain from Tim Holtz distress ink & the green is a pigment ink from American Crafts. I also used the green on the triangle roller doodle. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye & those chipboard Thickers are called Elf. The stars are from Freckled Fawn - I am loving these!!

Below are some of the items you can find in the WT store:.

hello Sadie.

One of my friend's had her baby September 6. This is one of the photos they had taken when she was 10 days old - one of the few with her eyes open.

This scanned a little funky because of the resin hearts. Too much bulk! I used my October Studio Calico kits for this one + a Martha Stewart border punch. The stamp is from the Vienna add on and I used American Crafts pigment ink in an orange shade. My inspiration for this page came from Rochelle's October color challenge -- melon/marigold/tangerine/pool/ash. The colors look really off in the scan but they are very similar in real life.

love & theft.

A few weekends ago we went to Ft Wayne for a country fest show, headlining Gary Allan. One of the performers was Love & Theft. Their song Runaway I was familiar with, but I didn't really know them otherwise. They put on a really good show, had quite a few songs I loved, & they aren't bad looking either!

These are some iphone photos from their performance & I was inspired by this sketch (with a twist to use dots/stripes) at Paper Secrets.

you are appreciated [card]|LCOM sketch #41

I'm doing a card sketch for the LCOM sketch #41 reveal. Here is the sketch:
My card came together pretty quickly. I used some scraps of paper, some twine, washi, enamel dots, and added some of the Studio Calico die cut feathers. The stamp set is Paper Smooches word salad. I stamped the sentiment with onyx Versafine ink. I used old road Prima chalk ink to outline the grey cardstock pieces.

Here's my card:

Supplies:
enamel dots: My Mind's Eye (The Sweetest Thing)
washi: Glitz Design (heart); Freckled Fawn (dot)
twine: Timeless Twine

You can view the projects from the other DT girls HERE.

Bentley.

This is a photo from 2011 that I haven't scrapped yet. His precious little face just begs to be put on a page!

I used chili powder Jenni Bowlin paint dabber with TCW template for the hearts. The papers are from the Sept SC kits. I grabbed some doilies from Maya Road from my stash, along with the Teresa Collins letter stickers, and Crate Paper chipboard sticker wood grain frame. The sequins and wood veneers are also SC. I changed the photo to sepia toned - isn't his face precious?!

September running stats.
