Coolest Experience.

Yesterday me and Mark had the experience of attending the Brigham City temple dedication...and all I can say is WOW! It was such an incredible thing to be a part of.

During the dedication I started tearing up when they were saying the opening prayer...I'm such a marshmallow. But everything that was said was exactly what I needed to hear at this time. Just being reminded that Heavenly Father is aware of each of his children and he knows each one of us is such a blessing and brings me so much peace.

I'm so grateful that I'm living my life in such a way that I am worthy to enter such a beautiful place and feel the spirit there. How lucky we are to live at a time when the fullness of the gospel is on the earth and we have so much knowledge at our finger tips! The temple has brought so much happiness and peace into my life and I am so grateful that we have been sealed to one another and we will be a family forever.

And this is where it all started:

short story

So we were babysitting our neighbors kids this weekend. It was around lunch time and Carter wanted some toast, so I asked the 4 year old we were babysitting if he wanted some too. He said yes, and I got the bread toasting.

The 4 year old followed me over and said, "what's that white stuff?"

I said, "where?"

He said, "in the toaster."

I said, "that's bread."

He said, "Bread's white?!"

When his mom came to get him, I apologized to her for introducing her child to the terrible, unhealthy white bread.

Oops!

Can Someone Tell Me...

How she went from this:

To this:

All in (almost) 5 short months?!

I can't believe that in 4 short days my baby will be 5 months old.  Time sure does fly...and we're enjoying (almost )every minute!

I'm convinced she's getting a tooth (but if I'm wrong, don't judge me)

I think I can feel it but she might just have sharp gums.

And she either always has spit up on her gums, or it's a tooth.

Although it really could be spit up because she likes to do that a lot! In fact today I decided I'd just take her clothes off because she just kept spitting up and she was starting to stink. It was gross.

You wanna know what else is gross? Eh....I didn't think so.

Goodnight.

Lucy

A few weeks ago Lucy had her 4 month check up.  She weighed 14 pounds (39%) she's 25 1/4" long (75%) and her head circumference is 41 1/2cm (70%). She got more shots and both her and Carter did a lot better this time.  I guess Carter has gotten more used to hearing Lucy cry and Lucy has gotten more used to getting hurt.  She just continues to grow and she's getting closer to being able to roll from her back to her stomach.  She's also getting close to being able to sit up, although I'm thinking it'll still be a month or two before her muscles will be strong enough to hold up that big head of hers. She has decided that sleeping through the night isn't cool anymore and now she wakes up 2-3 times every night.  It's no beuno...but we love her anyway.  She's a very happy and smiley baby and still loves to be held.  I'm really glad that we purchased one of those baby backpack things that the babies sit in because if it weren't for that, I wouldn't get anything done.

And that's the end of a really boring post.

Mark had a Birthday Shout Hurray!

Mark turned the ripe old age of 26 at the end of August. He spent the day preparing our dirt and laying sod. It was a terrible birthday for him. He worked like 10 hours straight and I almost felt bad for him. You see, all he wanted for his birthday was a yard so he got exactly what he wanted. And he worked very hard to get it. After we had all rested for about 2 days straight I decided we should actually celebrate. So me and carter made a cake, we sang, opened a few presents, decorated the house, and blew put some candles. It was a great party! Here are some pictures to prove it.
