APRIL SURPRISE

Around the first week of April we found out we were having another one of these...

But this time, in PINK.

I wasn't super excited at first (to be pregnant) because I had a miscarriage a month before that, and since that was the second one in a year, they wanted me to get some tests done before we tried again. Oops :). I was a total stress case worrying it would happen again, but things have been going just fine this time around (diabetes and all!).

I really didn't care if it was a boy or girl cooking in there, I just want a baby so badly! But the boys were hoping and praying for a girl so they were super, super excited when we found out. Mark wanted a little girl, too :). And don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not complaining, being allowed to walk to the other side of the baby stores has been exciting!

The boys have been hilarious asking questions about the baby in my belly. They are both old enough to be really interested, but they have some weird ideas about it. I tried to show them what the baby looks like right now, and Wyatt about died when he saw the picture and said "She's nudey in there?!!" He just couldn't believe that the baby didn't have any clothes on.

I am due the first week of December, but with the diabetes thing it will probably be more like mid-November. We can't wait to meet this baby girl!

Easter 2011

We started off our Easter this year by dying eggs the night before. And you can't dye eggs without a little crack. Just ask Wyatt.

Hard at work...

Discovering the magic of the white crayon.

That kid and his faces!

The finished product, complete with dino-eggs that were a total rip off and didn't even stay on the eggs.

Early the next morning started with a hunt for some eggs...

Not the one he wanted, apparently.

Ummmm, pretty sure those aren't for you.

At our house, the Easter bunny hides baskets in weird places, like the here...

Or here...

Are those crazy eyes, or what? A little overwhelmed by his basket, it looks like.

Excited for their loot!

Handsome little devils. I think we had like two seconds to take this picture, because we were running late to church. But I knew that if we waited until after, the ties would be messed up, the shirts un-tucked and wrinkled, and who knows what else!

Lunch at my parent's house. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop us from having fun on the farm. Jaxson, Olivia, Taylor, and Bailey.

Bo and Cody get croup super easy, so they have to dress like this pretty much until June (or July!).

Its hard to tell, but he has a HUGE smile on his face. Wyatt loves to ride horses! Jaxson will get on them, but he isn't nearly as crazy about it.

When we were little, we would go to my Grandparents cabin every Easter and we used to have this awesome pile of sawdust with money, eggs, and candy buried inside. This year, we thought it would be a blast to do it with all of the cousins:

Obviously, from that face, it was a blast.

The kids LOVED it, but they were also covered from head to toe in sawdust. We were finding it in pockets, shoes, and ears for days. My mom was finding it for longer than that in her poor house! Pretty sure she won't be agreeing to that one again anytime soon :).

T-Ball

Jaxson played his first season of T-ball this year and LOVED it. I thought he might be a little bit bored but he ended up liking it better than soccer. His team was the Orioles (hard to say when you can't pronounce your R's yet!) . His favorite part of every game was sliding into home (every single time) and getting the tickets for the snack bar after the game was over.

He lucked out and got to play with his cousin and best buddy Cody (to the left, about a head taller and almost a year younger than Jaxson).

Running the bases and taking it seriously!

Cody at the plate

Mark got to be the assistant coach for Jaxson's team. He of course loved it, and I loved watching them both out there on the field. So stinking cute when a group of 5 and 6 year old's either all jump out of the way of the ball at the same time, or chase after it and dog pile on it!

MARCH

In March...

Jaxson had 'friend' day all year long with a few of his best buddies. Every Wednesday after school they rotated houses and spent a few hours playing. It was always one of his favorite days of the week! Here are the boys + tag a long little brother watching a movie.

Reading more stories. I know these pictures aren't that exciting, but I just love them because that is what we do everyday and I want to make sure we remember it.

Not sure what was going on here. That is just typical Wyatt, and honestly, he probably wore that to Walmart that day. The kid loves costumes, but it is never just one costume - always some kind of Wyatt special combo.

I turned 29. One more year to live it up before I am officially old like Mark :).

And that is about it. Slow month for taking pictures, apparently!!

January/February

Here are the random highlights of our January and February (at least what I busted the camera out for anyway!):

Reading stories before bedtime- they love this nursery rhyme book.

Wyatt after he watched that super bowl commercial a zillion times online... I appreciate that he put his own spin on it though with the chicken suit. Way to think outside of the box, buddy.

My brothers and Mark having a "Lego-off" at my parents house after a Sunday dinner. It was as intense and competitive as you would expect a Lego building contest between 4 grown men to be. And what I mean by that is Super intense. The 4 little boys got to judge.

Making cookies on a Sunday afternoon...

Gotta love the home depot apron!

Eyeing the batter and waiting for a taste...

SLOGGER

BLOG + SLACKER = SLOGGER.

So apparently I have been a major Slogger lately. I couldn't believe it the other day when I realized my last post was in JANUARY!!! Crazy how fast 6 months can go by. I am going to change my ways, since this is the closest thing to scrapbooking/journaling that I seem to do.

I have to keep up on it because the boys already LOOOOOOVE going through and looking at videos and pictures of themselves from past years. Scroll down for the first of the catch up posts...more to come!

CHRISTMAS 2010

Christmas this year was the best - the boys are the perfect ages for all of the magic. They were both super excited for Santa to come, and are waiting to go check out the loot on Christmas morning....

Santa's set up...

The tree and stockings the night before. I think that is ELF on in the background.

Grocery store made by Santa (with a little help from his dad ;) ) and painted by Mrs. Clause.

Enjoying their new pillow pets...I have no idea why my type is being underlined and I can't figure out how to take it off.

Testing out the new store

We had lots of fun before and after Christmas, too. Lots of cousins means happy boys!

Wyatt holding his baby cousin Caroline...he looks a little bit unsure what to think but he LOVES this girl.

Jax and McKay after sledding at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was FREEZING outside - look at those pink cheeks!

Looks like he just couldn't help himself any longer

Playing the white elephant game with all of the little cousins at the Huntsman Christmas party. I don't have a picture of it, but every kid's favorite part of this party was a chocolate fountain right at their eye level!

Checking to see if they are on the naughty or nice list...Wyatt looks a little worried.
