July 2019

We are well into September and July seems like a year ago.  So much has happened!! Most of it fun and wonderful things.  Life has been full. Brian rode Ahab in the neighborhood parade on the 4th of July.  He was the star of the show.

Then we headed up to the ranch for the boat race and the rodeo.

July 5th started with a quiet beautiful morning stroll after sleeping over in the ranch house.

Then a hello to Brian who slept on the couch.

Then back home to take care of our animals. Cowboy started looking a little thin so I upped his grain consumption. I needed the picture to see what weight he was gaining.

Piano lessons started this summer with a new teacher.

Then off to the Shakespeare Festival

My favorite was the hike in the Narrows

Back at home we finished up track meets.

And practiced setting up our backpacking tent!

We went to the ranch

In July I got released as Primary Music Leader and called as the Young Women's President.  It was quite the change! I jumped right in with a youth cookout up the canyon.

We started preparing for our first family backpacking trip, dog included.

The boys cleaned the pool.

We hiked up to Rhodes Lake after a long bumpy drive up Gardners's Fork road.

I got us lost. Then our friend Jeremy helped us find the lake.

We were so excited to see it down in the trees.

Can you tell Pip and I like watching the boys fish?

It was a fun bug filled, fishing filled exhausting one nighter. I'm ready to do it all over again!

Pizza party at home with Mark's now famous pizza!  He seriously could open a restaurant.

More fun in the pool.

We went and got a load of hay from my dad.  It was his first time baling!

Then we hooked up the Scamp and headed to Payson Lakes.

One Scamp tire blew up on the way there. Luckily no one was hurt and Mark was able to switch it for the spare.  I am so grateful for his knowledge and ability to keep us all so safe.

Back to fishing!

And paddle boarding.

And rafting.

And jumping off the dock!

And sleeping in the comfort of the Scamp. Timmy has trouble sleeping on the bunk beds so Mark takes the bottom bunk and Timmy sleeps with me so I can calm his night terrors.

We stopped on the way home and played ping pong at Mark's work.

Then it was another week of horse camp.

And on the last day of July we packed our bags and took a plane to Palo Alto!

We headed straight for Korean BBQ with Luke and Sunny!

Best way to end July.
