Quilt Show

This is the quilt my mom made for her sister. She borrowed it back to be able to display at the quilt show. The stitcheries are all done by hand and the quilting was done by Lainey on Gwyn's long arm machine. I took pictures of this one and some others to get machine quilting ideas for the one I am working on.

Rodeo

Tiny girl doing barrel racing.

Watching all the rodeo stuff. It was so hot outside but we were in the shade on the bleachers. We forgot to take blankets to sit on so our rears were numb. Also, we were waiting to eat until we got home so we were getting pretty hungry. Rodeo was great, if a little chaotic. We enjoyed watching the teeny kids do their thing.

Puzzle

Jared was only able to come to Grandma's for a short time and he was wanting to stay busy so we decided to do this puzzle after we got fireworks in town. It was kind of hard because it had large, medium and small pieces and they weren't square. We got a lot done before it got too dark to see and Jared had to leave.

Fireworks

After we did our own fireworks in the front yard we took some chairs out in the back yard to watch the Lewiston fireworks. It started to get a little windy so we were wondering if they would still do them. Tanner and Brittany were playing a word game where you have to change, add, or subtract just one letter in the word to make another word. Kiersten was frustrated with her iPhone camera because it wouldn't do burst shots for some reason. The fireworks were great, as always. Grandma and Grandpa were pretty quiet about it all.

The next pics are of our fireworks in the front yard. We (grandma, Brittany, Jared and I) went down to Logan to Breelyn's stand after dinner and naps so we could get some fireworks. Breelyn is pregnant and due in Nov with a girl. Kendra was also working and is pregnant and due in September with a boy. And Jenesey was working and she's getting married in a few weeks! So Jen helped us pick out some good fireworks and aerials. It was pretty hot outside but cooler than it has been, only 95! Anyway, then we stopped for a smoothie at Jamba Juice, which Grandma likes but doesn't often get because Grandpa doesn't like them. Then we headed home. We set the fireworks off later that night.
