Burn
So I burned myself with my fancy new curling iron just before church. I ran it under cold water and grabbed my melaleuca essential oil on the way out the door. During church took this photo. (Don't judge me) and today it looks like this. And very minimal pain. It should have blistered and caused a lot of pain. I'm convinced the melaleuca is miracle stuff for burns!! (Mine is DoTerra brand)

Finals
I didn't really want to put this on Facebook, but I got a 98% on my aural skills final and a 96% on my music theory final! Wahoo!! Puts me with an A in each class. I love that.

Tanner's Knightly News
Tanner wrote the broadcast script and had Kiersten and Jared perform it. This was hilarious to watch.

I decorated my car
I've been wanting to put the little apples on my car for awhile. It's our whole family of Apple products lovers. And I got the cool Jewel Kade logo last month and finally got it on there, too. It's the same exact pearl white color as the car!

Kiersten tonight
The Crayon-ed Cup
It may not seem like a big deal to you, but this cupholder in my car has been lined in melted green crayon for probably over a year. I wiped it out as best I could when it happened, but never really took the time to figure out how to clean it up. Today I finally took a hairdryer to it to melt it and then wiped it out with a paper towel. Took about 10 minutes. Doesn't it look nice? Now my car feels less like a mom car and more like a put-together person's car.

Downton Abbey - Season 3
Tonight I spent a blissful hour ALONE in the house while Tanner and Kiersten were at church activities. I ate homemade cookies and watched most of the first episode of Downton Abbey - Season 3. It was a much-needed break!!

Garages
Today I am thankful for garages and the people who keep them clean. Thanks, Mark! And for the people who put Christmas stuff away in them. Thanks, Tanner! And for the fact that they keep me from having to scrape windows!!!

Scooter got a haircut
Scooter got a haircut and hey tied a bow around his neck. Kiersten thought it was too girly so I tied it like a tie. Much better!
Sunday and Monday
While we were crammed in the pantry writing our new job chart, Tanner accidentally bumped Kiersten's nose, and before we knew it there was blood everywhere!! She kept saying she was drowning in blood. It stopped pretty quick, though!
I let Kiersten stay home today because Saturday was a big day testing for the gifted program in Alpine district and driving, and then driving all day yesterday, too. Kiersten hates change, and then also Mark left for Paso Robles last night. So we are taking it pretty easy today and just trying to pick up the house and be organized. Tanner has lots of school today, so he's working on that. Kiersten picked up her room (really well!) and is playing Minecraft. I did my school for today already, and it feels good to have some time to plan and get organized.

Job Chart
We had a little family meeting last night so we can work together to keep the house maintained. Here is the job chart!
Our life today
We spent the last two weeks in Utah for Christmas and had a great time. Mark returned home Friday so he could start his new job today. He is working in Paso Robles during the week and returning home to Solvang on weekends until school ends in June. I'm trying again to blog, so that I can keep him posted on what's going on here at home!
