Back in the USA

Hi , everyone!

I have missed talking to you all!

I have been MIA for a while now and I want to say thank you to all of you 

that left me comments and emails checking on me while I was gone.

I just got back from a trip to Europe.

 Can you guess where I went?

Yes! I just spent two weeks in fabulous, beautiful, gorgeous

Madrid, Spain! LOL 

It was so wonderful to be back home with my parents and brothers!

Although, I can not say that about the 19 hour trip, one way!!!

That was just horrible!

I will be sharing with you guys soon a bunch of pictures I took during 

my trip, but first, I need to get my life back in order and get used to 

the seven hours difference between countries.

 Jet lag can be a very difficult thing to overcome.

 For now, I just wanted to say hello to all of you.

Can't wait to go visit your blogs and see what you guys have been up to!

And, although I enjoyed my trip very much, I have to say,

It is good to be home!!!

Our garden is thriving!

Hi, everyone!

So much to do today, but I wanted to share with you guys really quick some pictures of all the flowers I planted back in March. They are doing so well this year!

Just remember I bought them very small and paid barely one dollar for each one of them, but they are sure enjoying the nice weather we have had until last week.

I know it won't be much longer! LOL Once the temperatures hit the triple digits, there will be no more pretty flowers to look at in our home. It happens every year!

But, at least, we get to enjoy them for a little while.

Even the Knockout Roses I planted this year are doing very well.

It was touch and go there for a couple of weeks!

And the Crape Myrtles are finally blooming!

And I think all these signs of Spring and Summer are attracting the

cutest visitors! Look who paid a visit today and sat on my porch for a while!

Red, White and Blue on the Back Porch

Hi everyone! 

Can't believe it is already June! Where did May go?

 So much going on around here! Things have been really busy lately. 

I haven't had any time to post on my blog or even visit all my favorite blogs like I usually do, but, today, I made time to visit everybody and see what you guys have been up to and I have finally been able to take a little time to update 

my back porch for summer time.

I normally decorate our front porch for the summer with these colors,

but this year, I am doing things a little different.

The best part is that I used everything I already had at home from

 previous years, so I did not have to spend any extra money on this project.

Today, I want to share a little red, white and blue on our back porch.

On the eating area, I added some pillows that I made a while back, red table mats, 

a few flowers for our centerpiece, candles for a little candlelight at night and a star and stripes ribbon.

 I bought everything at the Dollar Tree last year.

I also added a little decor on the bench and on both of our small side tables.

 This birdhouse was my first stencil project ever, many years ago.

It is still hanging in there! LOL

 And this is the other table and chairs opposite form the bench.

 Very simple, but at least it gave the porch a little color.

Weather permitting, we will be enjoying our outdoor space as much as

 possible this summer. 

I am still working on our upstairs porch, organizing my new craft room, planting more flowers on our garden and 
preparing for an upcoming trip overseas.

I am very, very tired! LOL
