Guess Who's Back

Back again!

I traveled far and wide, saw many things, and experienced even more.

Future postings will dictate my adventures.

(it just so happens that I"m stuck at work with none of my pictures and what's a travel documentary without pictures? nothing, hence the wait)

Peace Out

Tomorrow starts my eight day journey. I will be seeing this. I will enjoy myself here and pet a dolphin here.

Jealous?

Have fun this week. I know I will.

Snooze fest

Wow. So without really meaning to I got rid of my background. Many of you may be wondering how in the world I managed to not mean to, but it happened. Anyways, now I have an incredibly boring looking blog. Sad.

TTA - Do you work out?

Is that supposed to be some kind of fat joke?

Working out.

Love it.

Finding time and motivation to do it … now that’s a horse of a different color. My intentions are good though and I think that should shed a few pounds.

I am improving. I have been to the gym everyday this week. I guess that’s kind of a small fib, I went last night and have plans to go tonight.

Musts in my work out:

• Groovy tunes
• 24 Hour Gym or a beautiful day with lots of running space
• Good shoes … a must for everything, not just running
• NO swishy pants
• Cold H2O

YAY for working out.

Move Over Martha

Well I might not really be competition for Martha Stewart but I have an inner desire to be. So to start my strategy for taking over the Martha Stewart empire, I started small - mod podging a magnet board. Four hours later, several playlists from iTunes, and some really good laughs with Kelsey and Logan we had a finished product.

Mine

Kelster's

Martha may not have to worry quite yet but I'm workin' on it.

Read this

It's funny, sarcastic, informative, and entertaining. I just finished and giggled through most of it.

do you ever feel like time has stopped?

It has happened to me today.

My clock is stuck. I think it's a sick joke someone is playing on me. Maybe I'm being Punk'd...maybe I'll meet Ashton! (Thank you HSM) or maybe Jim Halpert will appear to tell me it's really 5 pm now.

TTA - Proud to be an American

I love being American and I also love the 4th of July – it’s a favorite of mine (right up there with Christmas). There are many reasons/things/events that make me love the USA.

1. I love eating hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill in the backyard with family and friends.
2. I love going or watching sporting events whether it’s football, basketball, soccer, baseball, or whatever else.
3. I consider Disneyland to be the Happiest Place on Earth.
4. I love and am grateful that I can experience freedom and sleep with little fear.
5. I love to go and vote.

Reasons why I love the 4th:

1. Refer to numero uno on the above list. It’s tradition to eat it on the 4th of July.
2. Running the Freedom Run.
3. Parades.
4. Fireworks, our own family ones and also Stadium of Fire.
5. Renewal of love and respect for our country.

This picture made me cry the first time I saw it and read the story. I don't remember the exact details but the jist is that this woman's husband was killed in war. It was the night before his funeral and she couldn't stand to leave him so the two soldiers or marines (I can't remember) asked if she would like to stay the night with him. She did, so they got an air mattress and all of the bedding so she could have one last night with her husband. They then stayed on watch all night.

I didn't tell the story nearly as beautiful as it was originally written but either way I am proud to be an American.
