My bad ...
I forgot that the moose we actually saw was a female. Thanks for pointing that out Kelsey. I think we should probably respectfully refer to her as Ms. Monica the Moose. (Ms. because we don't know whether or not she has a Monty and I refuse to make another assumption)

Monty the Moose
So Logan, Kelsey, me and our two other friends Lyndsey and Kristy decided to hike Stewart Falls on Saturday. It’s a fun easy hike. We were having a great time when as we were approaching the falls we ran directly into Mr. Monty the Moose. He didn’t like that we were on his trail so we kindly backed up and let him pass. Anyways it made me wonder about the sweet looking animal the moose. So I did a little research on them and this is what I found.
On average, an adult moose stands 6–7 ft high at the shoulder. Males weigh 850–1180 pounds and females weigh 600–800 pounds.
The name moose means “he trims, shaves”
A full-grown moose has few enemies, but a pack of wolves can still pose a threat, especially to females with calves. Grizzly Bears are also known to prey on moose, although bears are more likely to take over a wolf kill than to hunt moose on their own.
The moose is considered the national animal of Sweden and Norway.
A moose's body structure, with a large heavy body suspended on long spindly legs, makes these animals particularly dangerous when hit by motor vehicles. Such collisions are often fatal for both the moose and motorist.
Moose are not normally aggressive; however, they can be very aggressive in winter when they are hungry; tired of walking in deep snow; or harassed by people, dogs, and traffic.
How to know if a moose may attack … The long hairs on its hump are raised, ears laid back (much like a dog or cat), and it may lick its lips (if you can see this, you are way too close).
And there you have it. Lesson learned … don’t let Bullwinkle get too close.

Tuesday Tell All - Taste
So yet again I am posting a Tuesday Tell All not on Tuesday. For some reason it's a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I am a big fan of my tasting sense. BIG fan. Eating is more than something to do when your stomach rumbles for me, it's a favorite past time.
So I just thought this video clip was funny and had to do with food which relates to taste which is why I am posting it here.

Hey Ya'll
So spontaneously Kelsey, Logan, and I decided to attend the Strawberry Days Rodeo on Saturday. It was loads of fun - except the dirty child that kept touching me and in the end drove us to leaving early. But that's for another post. I have to say that Mutton Busting has got to be the darndest cutest thing I ever did see. Question for those with more knowledge on this subject...do the cows get hurt when they wrestle them? It looks awfully uncomfortable for them. Anyways ... it was so much fun to just sit and watch all the people that were there. I am considering becoming a down right country gal cause some of those cowboys in their wranglers, boots, and cowboy hat weren't all that bad to gaze at. :)

R.I.P.
Bui-ee, my Buick LeSabre, has left us permanently as of Friday. She had a long life dedicated to serving others. Her grey beauty greeted me every morning for the last four years. We had our good times and also our bad times. I may have said some choice words when Bui-ee was around but all and all she was a car with loving. The most difficult part through all of this has been I didn’t even get to say goodbye on Friday. Don’t worry though, each day is getting easier. Rest in peace Bui-ee.

Tuesday Tell All - Sound and Smell
So I missed last week’s TTA which was sound so I am including it in today’s post. I love being able to hear. I mean honestly can you image never having heard Jack Johnson, Linkin Park, Priscilla Ahn (thank you Karen), Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, Zac Efron :), Chicago, Cindy Lauper, Billy Joel or Chris Brown? I sure can’t. I LOVE music. It adds a level of dimension in my life that I’m not sure I really want to live without. To illustrate my obsession with always having music going … I was upstairs in my bathroom getting ready and had carried my laptop the three flights of stairs to my bathroom so that I could listen to some groovy tunes – a normal activity I thought. My mom then walked past, saw that I was getting ready, continued to walk past, then turned around and came in my bathroom and asked, “You really carried your laptop all the way up here for the thirty minutes it was going to take to get ready?” I then looked at her surprised by her question and innocently replied, “Why of course!” She then continued by asking, “Well, aren’t you slightly worried that your computer will get ruined in the bathroom?” which I then replied, “Oh Mother, my laptop is on a towel at the end of the counter and I’m not using water.” Exasperated with me, she turned around and muttered under her breath as she walked away, “crazy kid.” I didn’t understand why it was such a strange event but I guess to my adorable mom it was.
I should put in a disclaimer though … I believe that my love for music came from my mom. She instilled in me the love for the piano which was my first exposure to the wonderful world of music. Even though she sometimes thinks I’m a little crazy, I just remind her that it’s hereditary.
Smell…have you ever wondered how it was that your nose could smell so many different things and can tell your brain the differences in them? I was always curious and then I took PDBio 220. We had to learn the cranial nerves and then I didn’t really care so much to know how our nose worked. Imagine 12 very small lumps of something that look similar and having to try and figure out which cranial nerve was pinned for your test. Now that I’ve learned that cranial nerve numero uno controls our sense of smell I appreciate that small lump of something a little bit more.
I love to smell:
Clean babies/small children
So Pink
Bread baking in the oven
Clorox Wipes
Rain
I hate to smell:
Cigarettes
Spoiled Milk
Bad Breath
Musty Dust balls
Pleasant Grove … seriously driving on I-15 you can smell that city.
Did you know that a dog has 220 million smell-sensitive cells? Imagine that.

Tuesday Tell All - Sight
Finally getting this one out. I love eyes. I think they are one of my favorite features on people’s faces. For a really long time I wanted to be an Optomologist because of my fascination with eyes. Some of my favorite things to see are:

And this ...

Can't forget this ...

Or this one ....

And I always love this one ...

There are a lot of other things that I love to see but these are some of my very favorites.
