today i felt like blogging...

so there. i don't really have much to say. i have the best of intentions to one day really update this silly blog. we'll see. not because anyone else cares, but because (other than images) it is the only record i have of the last five years of our lives. i feel a certain sense of duty to put it all somewhere.

until then, here is a photo of my favorite two-year-old.

whoosh...

today my monkey is eight months old. love him more each and every day. happy birthday (of sorts) to my little man. he is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. VERY active and quite precocious. he is sweet, smart, hilarious and thoughtful. he talks quietly to himself and very loudly to the rest of us. he has more personality in his itty-bitty body that any adult i know. did i mention that i love him? well, i do. so there.

my ever-charming grandmother turned 85 yesterday, and celebrate we did. family gathered at my mom and dad's to honor one of the finest women i know. thank you for always being a perfect example of kindness and generosity. we love you.

my cousin snappped these two shots without us knowing. thanks for being so sneaky.

kotg...

great cause, great opportunity. read below and let them know if you would be interested in helping out. it has the potential to be everything from moving, to profound, to a whole lotta fun. go pink!

Susan G. Komen On the Go™ educates and engages people in the movement to end breast cancer forever where they live, work, and play! Komen On the Go's bright pink vehicle is coming to teach you how to take charge of your breast health, to empower you to share information with friends and to engage you in the breast cancer movement. Susan G. Komen On the Go™ is looking for outgoing, engaging, approachable, and motivating individuals to be the face for Komen On the Go™ at the Utah State Fair. Who better to help us than you? You're passionate, involved and know what it takes to make a participant's day.

We will be at the Utah State Fair September 17th – September 19th. We are looking for volunteers daily from 10am - 4pm and 4pm - 9pm.

There are numerous tasks that volunteers will be asked to do throughout the day including greeting visitors, assisting with the interactive stations, working with the many engaging aspects of our exhibit and promoting our visit. If you or someone you know is able to volunteer, please contact me with your preferred shift at kotgvolunteer@event360.com today!

ps...

we went to swiss days with the fam over the weekend. used to be a yearly tradition that got away from us. it was fun to go back and get a little nostalgic. oli had a ball. he loved the crowd, was enthralled with balloons and against my better judgement, had a taste of his first tigersblood snocone. what can i say? too delicious to deprive him. good swiss times.
