We went to Utah this weekend to visit my Grandparents. I brought the camera, but of course forgot to take any pictures with them. Darn!! We had such a great time. My Grandparents had 13, yes 13 children. All 13 children are living the gospel and have been married in the temple. Amazing. They are so loving and kind and have been such a great example to me. We were so glad we were able to visit.
We went to Temple Square on the way back home. It was such a neat experience. Kinlee and Dallin loved to look at all the pictures of Jesus. They both loved the Christus. Dallin just kept starring up at it and smiling.

I am a Child of God
We went the Museum of Church History and Art. They had a exhibit for children called "I am a Child of God". It was so cute. They had costumes for the kids to try on. They had a picture of Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life, and an Iron Rod to hang on to. They also had pictures to color and blocks to build a temple. Kinlee's favorite part was the little nursury. They had a pretend nursury with a bunch of little baby dolls. She could dress them up and weigh them and give them medicine. She named her baby Zoey. She was so upset when we had to leave. The kids had such a fun time.

Easter Blessings
"We know not all that lies ahead of us. We live in a world of uncertainty. For some, there will be great accomplishment. For others, disappointment. For some, much of rejoicing and gladness, good health, and gracious living. For others, perhaps sickness and a measure of sorrow. We do not know. But one thing we do know. Like the Polar Star in the heavens, regardless of what the future holds, there stands the Redeemer of the world, the Son of God, certain and sure as the anchor of our immortal lives. He is the rock of our salvation, our strength, our comfort, the very focus of our faith.
In sunshine and in shadow we look to Him, and He is there to assure and smile upon us."
-President Gordon B. Hinckley

7 Things you may not know about us.......
1. When I was little I wanted to be Miss America. I know what your thinking, doesn't every little girl have that dream? But I took it very seriously. I practiced my talent (which was going to be singing) and even practiced answering questions by pretend judges. I actually did Junior Miss in High School. I sang "I will Survive", but I froze and skipped half my song. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
2. Me and a couple of friends choreographed a 70's dance to Saturday Night Fever. We put on bell bottoms and platform shoes and performed it for our ninth grade talent show. Why you may ask? I think because we were bored in my basement one day and the rest is history.
3. I love old movies. Some of my favorites are My Fair Lady, Singing in the Rain, and The Sound of Music.
4. When I was in High School I taped a cup with a straw in it to the top of my car. Me and my friends drove around town to see what people would do. It was hilarious.
5. I love sweets, especially chocolate and icecream. When Marc and I were first dating we decided to go get a couple of pints of Ben and Jerrys icecream. We brought it to his house and sat up to the bar to eat it. Marc got some spoons out and then went to go get something else in a cupboard. I broke out my icecream and started eating it right out of the carton. Marc came back with these teeny tiny little icecream bowls. I about died. I later had to explain to him that Ben and Jerrys is eaten right out of the carton...right?
6. I love 80's Monster Ballads. You know all those rock bands that had the big hair back in the 80's?
7. I was offered a full ride scholarship to play basketball in Wyoming. I turned it down for no particular reason, I just didn't feel good about it. I met Marc a few weeks later. That was the best choice I ever made. Love you babe!!!
I always write stuff about me on this blog, but I thought you might want to hear a few things about Marc as well.. So here it is....
7 Things you might not know about Marc (by his wife).......
1. Marc's hair and fingernails grow freakishly fast. It is crazy. He needs a haircut at least every two weeks and he is always cutting his fingernails and toenails.
2. When Marc was in High School he and his friends were the biggest pranksters. They were called the Wolf Pack. I can't tell you exactelly what they did, (i am sworn to secrecy), but some pranks involved pumpkins (no not smashing them, they were much more creative), Christmas trees, and road cones.
3. Marc gets the hic-cups when he laughs really hard. It is so funny, if he really gets going he almost throws up. I love to see if I can get him to laugh really hard, because it makes me laugh really hard too.
4. Marc is a good samaritan. He is always helping people. Whether its changing tires, or helping people find jobs. He is not happy unless he is serving others.
5. Marc served his mission in South Carolina. Once on a preparation day he and his companion rode thier bikes 40 miles to the capitol and 40 miles back. He said it took about 2 hours each way and they were riding about 30 to 35 miles per hour.
6. When Marc was about 12 his parents went out of town and his Aunt and Uncle came and stayed with him and his siblings. They broke out the video camera and made a little home video entiled "Home Alone." I have never seen it, but I hear it is pretty impressive.
7. You all probably know this but I am going to put it anyway. Marc is the best Husband and Father. I love watching him play with the kids. It always involves some sort of fort and a few circus acts. He is so thoughtful and kind and takes such good care of us. We love you Hun!!!
Now I want to hear about some of the other husbands, so we are tagging Ben, Aaron, and Scott and any one else that wants to write about thier hubbies.

Mission Call
Marc's little brother recieved his mission call on Thursday. The whole family came to find out where he would go. We all placed our bets: I said Mexico, Marc said the Phillipines, Kinlee said he was going to school for Jesus to teach children (pretty cute huh?),and Vickie said anywhere close by, I think she would have been happy with Pocatello, ID. We were all wrong, he was called to the Mesa, Arizona mission. He will report to the MTC on June 11th. Arizona is one lucky state, he will be such a great missionary!! Congrats Jared! We are so proud of you and we love you.
