Announcements for 6/8

  • *Stake Conference: June 12-13: Elder Terrence C. Smith of the Seventy will be presiding as the general authority for our Stake Conference.

  • *Saturday, June 12: General Stake Conference Session for Adults at 6:00 pm. Childcare will be provided for children 18 months - 11 years old, starting at 5:45 pm. A Linger Longer will be held after the meeting.

  • *Sunday, June 13: General Stake Conference Session at 10:00 am will be held for all members of all ages at the stake center. The stake is participating in the DMARC food drive to benefit those who are in need. Please bring a canned or boxed food item to donate.

  • *Saturday, July 3rd, Branch Morning activity at the Pence Residence. More details to come.

If you were unable to get out to visit your sisters, please give them a call and let them know you are thinking of them.

*Memorial Day Breakfast: Raccoon River Ward is having a breakfast outside under the church pavillion at 8am on Monday, Memorial Day. Also Waukee Ward is having a breakfast at Centennial Park at the same time. Both wards said we are welcome to attend.

Announcements for 5/9/10

-May 15th-Saturday at 2:00pm Primary Activity at the church. Meet out by the covered patio. -May 16th-Sunday at 6:00pm Financial Fireside at the church. There will be a few post medical school professionals that will speak on managing our school debt and finances. It should be very informative. Childcare most likely will be provided, still working out the details. -May-Don't forget to visit teach your sisters. A lot of our sisters have special needs for the month, whether it be moving, having babies etc. Please be aware of each sisters' needs. *Also if you have any extra coats around that you would like to donate to people in Afghanistan, just bring them to the church on Sunday. *If anyone is interested in a service activity and would like to help clean the church campsite. Please email Sister Janke or maplegrovesisters@gmail.com and she will give you the information you need.

New Announcements as of 5/2/10

-Sunday May 16th A financial fireside will be held Sunday the 16th. They will be talking about how to manage our school loans and how to be in as little debt as possible. -May Visiting Teaching If you haven't noticed there is no visiting teaching message in the May Ensign. You are to find a talk given from the last General Conference and share your thoughts on it. -May Moves Many people are moving away this month. If you need any assistance please contact Sister Stromberg and she can help with arrangements. All of you will be missed! -Special Congratulations! New Announcements as of 4/25

SATURDAY MAY 1ST- May Day Branch Party At President Pence's home. At 4 pm we will be doing some activities and at 5:30pm we will eat. Please be aware that there is a pond on their property and that we will all be responsible for watching our own children closely. What to Bring: *Sandwiches or hoagies for your own family members plus a side dish to share. *Bring a blanket for your family to sit on. SUNDAY MAY 2ND- Fast Sunday President Pence has asked us to fast with a purpose this upcoming fast Sunday. Really try and ponder and pray to find a specific reason to fast. VISITING TEACHING-April This is the last week for visiting teaching in the month of April. Please make sure you visit your sisters and then report how you contacted them to Danna Pettit.
