Little Kids in the Office

On the New Year Eve, we have visits from our two special guests - Little Jelte and Lara came crawling around the office. The two kids are just too cute for words.

Only Chirstmas

This is the first time I am attending the family Christmas alone. My brother is in Japan and my mother is working. This means that I have to wrap and carry the presents on my own. I need to go for early supermarket shopping to buy the food item for sharing. My father is not around to drive me anymore and I would need to take the public transport with my handbag and two large carrier loaded with many items to my aunt house. Actually, I am the lucky one for being able to attending the family gathering and doesn't have to work through the holidays. My colleagues are all busy in the office, and my mother is busy working, while my brother is busy studying. I can still have fun after some simple tasks.


In a moment I realised that these little kids have grown up, but always in my mind I remembers holding their little hands running around the playground and carrying them around the house. I wish my grandpa doesn't grow old anymore, maintaining the current health and strength.

Taking picture with the logcake and presents has suddenly become one of our traditions. I think I can print an annual collection like the school yearbook.

Seasons Greetings

The little bulbs are like the stars in the city, spreading the festive cheer together with the colorful sweets and candies. It is a sugar rush of excitement and fun.

Department Lunch :: Sobasei

A treat to the department for working through the December weekends, we are allow to go for a good lunch.

Almost all of us have ordered the most expensive set meal. The serving is like feeding for two. On top of the california rolls and the sashimi, we have got both rice and cold noodles as staple. The side dish in the bentos are good of many rice set, In addition, we are all eating ice-cream.

The best news is that there is an error in the calculation. The restaurant only charge us for 1 ice-cream (instead of supposedly 12 servings) and one bentos less. There is a miscalculation of $85 less. Initally was the worse, the first reciept presented to us shows only 2 bentos instead of 12 sets. They have changed the receipt but there is still errors on it. Still, I think the food here is very expensive and so we did not tell the waitress about the error this time.

This is our second time to mogu, will slowly gather the cute pictures from the kawaii looking bentos.. I really enjoy a simple meal in a fastfood restaurant with endless talks.

冬至 = 紅豆湯圓

May all families be sitting together happily eating 湯圓 during the winter solstice. I particular like the red bean flavor ones. I wonder why it is always the peanuts flavors that are pink in color. Can't the red bean flavor be made in pink too...

Emotional Roller Coaster

Celebrated my birthday in the Big O at wheelock place. The resturant is filled with doggies photos and the front page of the menu is shown with all the animals (cow, pig, chicken & turkey and the farmer)holding hands together. That is soon-to-be the beef, the pork and still the chicken & turkey with the chef.

I look so uptight the whole evening, probably due to a series of pressurising issue from work. I am not good in handing stress, as it all can be easily seen on my face. I was so worried that there has been something wrong with the figures shown on the presentation slides, that the new furniture may not be delievered on time, that the website could not be loaded probably, that the staff related matters and that the new cost reduction measure is going to change the way of work. Every little issue can run many rounds on its own thorughout the days.

Joni is right, life is short and unpredictable. There are many turns and twists in the everyday events that there is nothing such as a full-proved plan (though the irony is that secertary is the planner itself). I didn't want to magnify any issue that would left a heavy impact on my life, but I would chide/ warn myself to learn from the experience and not to allow any similar incident to affect my emotion again.

MINT Kids Meal

Doing a little birthday celebration in the Mint Museum of Toys, definitely a place for comic fans. I have no idea the spaghetti bolognise would means minced beef meat. When serve, I asked what meat do they use. As I don't take beef, the waitress hands me the menu again and let me pick another dish. I am delighted by the kind gesture of the service crew. They have even attempt to sing the birthday song with us.

Sushi in Office

My colleague has planned to celebration my birthday in the office of Monday, but I think they have forgotten to inform me. Someone has hid the food in the archive room and i happen to walk pass and see the items. Luckily I have not prepare any lunch on that day, otherwise, there are going to be food wastage.

The meal came with a Sakae Sushi Mascot which they have given it to me.
I have asked for a group picture. This could be the last birthday celebration in the office. I am too tired to fight for doing the organizing work. I thought that everyone would appreciate having their brithday in the office. If agreeable, I will do the preparation, but if I did not get the full support from all of my colleagues, I may not want to continue doing the celebration also.

One Year Older

On my actual birthday, I would want to spend it with my close ones. My mother has heard me mentioning about the Yum Cha Dim Sum for upteem times and is yearning to go and taste the food. I am taking this chance to test out my new camera.
